I read a 6 book series in 2006, the main female character has been
raised by a sorceress, she goes on a quest and meets and falls for the
destined to be but in hiding king who had a spell cast on him to
become a bird, along with his brother. There are dragons, snow
creatures, wars, an evil queen.

I just can't seem to remember and i gave the books away.
