I guess you've seen a lot of me over the last few days. :)
Look, I'm happy some of this is resolved, but i do still have issues
that must IMHO ( this time ) must be brought to the fore.
In speaking with a friend less than one hour ago, i told him about what
had happened. I decided to show him AFW because he has been interested
in joining. He saw the Boussh threads and the first thing he said was
"Look at that ( to the Boussh threads ). I don't want to join a NG like
that."
This is not made up. He will tell you this tomorrow if he joins like
I've asked him to. My heart leaped when he said this as it gave me
real, hard evidence of what I was saying before and its accuracy.
Look, a lot of you disliked me because of my post. I think it was the
subject header more than anything. I am the first to admit I was wrong.
The seriousness of those words were lost upon me.
The 'threats' as well. They weren't real threats. They were mainly
expressions of what I was feeling at the time. They were not to be
taken seriously as some of you did, but were to pertain to my state of
mind at that time.
The fact that so many people were on my side amazed me. I mean Fish's
opinion is one that isn't to be taken lightly. Likewise with Kelly.
They are both people that I've looked up to, and it costs me no pride to
say this, but people that i wanted to be like, as in having such an
influence on the group.
My inbox has never been more full than over the last few days. Some
were encouraging, some were not. I won't mention names because that is
pointless and increases the divide. I'm probably shocking some of you
now because you didn't realise i was capable of keeping a sense of
civility and diplomacy.
I still have many questions to ask like with the poll for example. How
many are Bousshers? It doesn't have to answered, but i do have to
wonder about the fairness of it, simply because the scales are
completely unbalanced. IMHO, of course.
Also, Scifantasy, Nick, and some others. I want to apologize to you. I
did have a go at you, but one thing you should remember is that i could
have been a lot worse. :) I'm sure the same thing applies to you as well.
We have made history. We have had the easiest flame war ever. One day,
no not even for twelve hours were we at odds with each other. The fact
that we all made up afterwards and were sorry. That speaks of the
tremendous character in the group.
Look. I'm not a particularly wise man, I am only 19 but SW's and Wedge
are two of my greatest passions. That is why I love this site so much.
That's why I began my enquiries in the first place. I don't want us to
become like RASSM. I've been there, i've had much worse flame wars than
this. Albeit brief. After three days there i came back here and have
never been there since.
Look, the point of this is to say. Congratulations. I believe that
people will be stronger and more open with each other after this.
Part of me regrets it was me, but another part is pleased with myself.
Not to be big headed, but i did precipitate one of the most exciting
days there has ever been on this NG. I have to admit, a lot of it was
fun. I think some of you may have felt the same way too. ( Don't
correct me if I'm wrong )
Also I'd like to say thank you to DB who stood by my side. Your a good
friend and I very much hope to keep contact with you ( even when i'm in
Korea ).
Hopefully, as Ton Phanan put it "The account has been balanced" ( you
can tell I've read Iron Fist recently ). I look forward to being here
for many years to come. I hope to start more interesting threads ( it
has been difficult since i started uni ) very much so in the future.
All of you. Thank you. You are a wonderful group and i'm extremely
glad to be a member of it.
Also. Please Mr Stackpole and Mr Allston. Come back soon. We miss you
very much.
If you've read this far. Thank you for reading. I hope you can forgive
me for my evil ways.
Wow, I'm starting to sound Jedi-ish. *that really scares me* :)

All the Boussh authors who've voted so far have voted for it. They account
for nine of the eighteen pro-Boussh votes I've received so far. (I've also
received eleven negative and two indifferent, none of whom were Boussh
authors.)
Personally, I think it would be unfair to exclude the Boussh authors from
voting, but I'll continue to post the kinds of stats you asked for, now. :)

OK, and now from another point of view...
During a lack of AFW topics, a group of people organized a newsgroup wide fan
fic and wanted to write a story about having the Rogues and Wraiths come help
us find Quiara, who had been missing from the newsgroup for quiet a bit of
time.
The group worked on getting everyone who was around involved at the time, then
started to write stories as a past time between other AFW non-boussh posts. We
got really into it, and we having a lot of fun. Then, just as we start to
organize ourselves to come to a conclussion, someone who had not been to the
group comes back and complains, starting a mini flame war and upseting the
normal balance of the group.
Now, because of a few random siths roaming around, something that has become a
new thread in our group is now being bashed, and being taken to a personal
level.
Meanwhile, we're also trying to discuss Hobbie's past, work on finishing the
Rogue/Wraith Birthday calander, and talking about Aaron's new NJO books due out
next year.
-=thinks=- Yeah, that's about it. Welcome back to the insanity. Please
deposit your marbles in the jar and pull up a nerf-hide chair.

Yup, that's where this whole thing started.

Or highlighting (albeit undiplomatically) an issue that had been lurking
in the back of a few people's minds?

That might have started the argument, but the underlying point (Boushh
has gotten too unwieldy for the ng) is still valid.

And having another crack at casting the rogues/wraiths/miscellaneous
using famous actors and what-have-you. And a couple of other things
(best pilot - not including Wedge or FB; fave books, fave comics, etc).

LOL!

Darklighter, he means that there's a behind-the-curtain planning
and organization going on to keep the monster at hand, and it isn't
a "clique-ish exclusivity" thing, it's called "project management."
Just thought I'd give you the other side; I'll tiptoe out now.
(And, yes, I'm out of the "clique-ish exclusivity" too. Because I
didn't have time to follow it, not because they didn't want me in.)
This seems to be a good place to mention this, so I will do
it. Back in November when there was a mini AFW con in Washington
DC, we'd planned with the participants to start another common-story
called "AFW: The movie". I've been reading the PB discussion
threads and thinking about how to organize that without the
repetition of the same trouble. It is not going to start until
Boussh is over, at any rate. I might sequence it as a serial,
instead of a parallel, story so there won't really be a need for
plot threads to be kept under control for continuity. I might--no,
probably will--also keep it all in e-mail and get webspace somewhere
to open it to public.

I'm not saying you shouldn't, but the odds are highly stacked against

Ummm...isn't that the point of voting? The side with the most votes wins?
I'll admit that American politics may occasionally seem to contradict that,
but I'd swear I remember reading that in Government class in high school...
Guys, the time has come to put "sides" aside. It was time to let this

Just curious: Had you mentioned Boussh to him before? Did he find the

Me, I join a newsgroup and see a bunch of [Whatever] tags, I figure,

Then I'd probably have read 1 or 2, realised they were Mary Jane wish
