Val Kilmer's marriage to Joanne Whalley Kilmer fizzled. So
did his affairs with Cher and Cindy Crawford. Maybe because
they were all too into their jobs. "American actresses happen to be
especially "tragic" when it comes to appreciating family values, the
old-fashioned Val tells Cosmo. "They don't look to the amazing
power of marriage as something that might be more gratifying than
a career." Let's see if Kilmer quits his anytime soon. . . .
Oh, what a sexist pig Mr. Kilmer is. Strange quote from him concerning *family
values* considering Whalley-Kilmer divorced him because he couldn't keep his
pants zipped. (Whalley named Drew Barrymore in her divorce suit as the third
party.) Let's not forget that Mr. Kilmer also worked nonstop from Batman
Forever to The Saint. During this time his marriage went sour. Maybe he should
have thought of his family *first* instead of his career. What a hypocrite.
Damn good thing he's good-looking and a great actor.

Why? Whalley didn't have the chances he had in her career. I find very hard to
swallow that she uses his name even after being divorced. Is she doing it as a
"career purpose?"
Besides, about the "american actresses vs. the family values" issue, I don't think
it's an "actresses" dilemma, not even an "american" dilemma, but a contemporary
one.Maragaret Thatcher gave this advice to her daughter :" If you want to succeed in
a career, avoid motherhood".
As for:
(Oh, what a sexist pig Mr. Kilmer is. Strange quote from him concerning *family

How do you know the unzipping pants attitude came BEFORE Whalley's choice of
"career vs. family"?
( Let's not forget that Mr. Kilmer also worked nonstop from Batman
Forever to The Saint. During this time his marriage went sour. )
So was he a bad family man or she was plain jelous of his success?
(Maybe he should
have thought of his family *first* instead of his career. )
As a matter of fact, he did ,more than once.Even today, he dedicates a lot of time
to his kids. And I have a trustable source of information.
(What a hypocrite.)
But, if I'm not convincing enough inmy crusade , we can very well forget about Val
and go entertain ourselves with Brad, who in the last "Vanity Fair"issue shows the
ultimate state of perfection a man can achieve. He has just reached that golden age
of manhood. Val , in my opinion, is a little over the hill. Just a little, of
course.
Val specifically said "American actresses". Wouldn't this leave Whalley out
since she is a British actress. I wonder if this is why he picked on "American
actresses". (Let's not make the ex-wife mad!)
I find very hard to
>swallow that she uses his name even after being divorced. Is she doing it as a

The IMDb uses her Whalley-Kilmer name, but she's billed as only Joanne Whalley
for her last film. So she isn't using his name.

I wonder why Val is picking on actresses? His statement is bullshit. There are
plenty of American actresses who are great mothers/wives and actresses.

How do you know Val is even referring to Whalley with the above statement. That
was Rush and Malloy who referred to her. For a woman to leave her husband two
weeks (??) after giving birth, she must have been going thru one hell of a
post-partum blues or had one hell of a reason to do so, and one that led to a
very bitter divorce.

Haven't any doubt that's he devoted to his kids, as is Whalley. But a family
includes a wife, and that person deserves (as does a husband) to come *first*
before career.

LOL. I can buy that about perfection. How about Johnny Depp? I know his body
is alittle short-waisted but god, look at that face!
Back to Val's statement, it was quite a slam to American actresses (not that he
is any expert on American or non-American actresses). Wonder why he would be
that asinine? Must not have engaged his brain before he moved his mouth.
Speaking of mouths...yummy.
Sophie2 (getting over this very slowly)

I just thought of another body that is pretty near perfection though his acting
isn't. That's Matthew McConaughey. There's something about his chest...
Bone structure is everything, you know what I mean?

He also says that the negative comments made about him during his divorce was
specifically intended to affect custody during the case (I assume he meant
custody of his children. Does he share custody of his children? Do they stay
with him or Joanne?). I like Val the actor but it amazes me how he takes
potshots in a round about way about his ex yet never acknowledging his fault
in the break up of his marriage. Also, he says he definitely would like to
marry again. Imagine that! Think he'll marry the 21 year old he's rumored to
be dating? If that happens, I guess she'll go through life being hopelessly
devoted to Val and only Val. Wonder what happens when the looks
go?....LOL....just kidding. I do admire Val the actor but the person....he's
quite.......? myte

Secondly, I did read that he didn't take many roles that he was offered while
he was married thus allowing Whalley to work. She never achieved huge success
though she's not a bad actress. And I think both he & Whalley are devoted to
their kids. Did they ever settle the custody issue? I read that they share
custody now. How does Val spend much time with his kids? Don't the kids live
with Whalley? Are they shuttled back & forth? That's sad...it would be easier
if both Whalley & Kilmer lived near each other. I'm going on a tangent
again..... Whalley must have had a reason to leave him after she gave birth.
I've heard that he left her first; that she filed for divorce w/o telling him
and it goes on & on. We can't get a true idea behind the split because, as
far as I know, Whalley has never spoken publicly about it. The truth lies in
the middle. myte

Oh, man! Do chests loose me! Still, I would vote for Johnny instead of Matthew, if
I had to. Of course we can keep 'em all, there's plenty to share, since we have such a
similarity in taste . I'm not jelous.

Oh,chests. I just saw Thelma and Louise on tv. Did you see that part in which Brad
is showing his naked chest while explaining how to rob people? Geena Davis looks
like transported to another dimension. And who wouldn't be?

I'm surprise about his attitude but do we really know what he's like? You can
read about all the *fantasy Vals* on some of his websites where he is either
misunderstood or had his interview edited but the truth is he may be exactly
what he sounds like. He's his own person that's for sure.

Did you ever read Cybersleaze where Joanne was reportedly in bad health from the
affects of the divorce and having to deal with Val? Now that is a side of Val
you will never read about on PK. And if you did they would have a zillion
excuses for him. Of course it came from a gossip site so who knows the truth.
Also, he says he definitely would like to
>marry again. Imagine that! Think he'll marry the 21 year old he's rumored to

If her birthday is in November, she's still just 20. Maybe Val is *training*
her on how to be a proper wife.

I think they both look like dorks in their new movies, how about that.
The La Costra Nostra

Val could wup Pitt's ass "One Hand On Ya' ". But I hate to say that that
Texas longhorn McConaughey could wipe the sagebrush with the both of them.
Watch your back, Blind Man.
As you said, no one knows the real Val. So it's not really fair to judge him
as a victim (picked on by directors & the media) or a troublemaker (gossip,
innuendo). myte
Well, I'll try to bring some objectivity to the discussion at the risk of
being pillored & labeled a traitor....:-) Hey, Val is one of my favorite
actors. myte
LOL. So how come the *Blind Man* would get wupped by McConaughey? You got some

When are you going to get in trouble with your website? I want to see it before

Good luck, you brave person. I'm getting a big kick over the conspiracy plot
and the possible letter writing campaign to offset any negative backlash from
the readers.
All stars have opinions that do not hold them dear to the public. Bruce Willis
was just in the news for the Louis Farrakin (sp?) quote and let's not forget the
fury Marlon Brando caused when he said that Jews were running the motion picture
industry and favored their own kind. (disclaimer: I cannot really remember
exactly what Brando said.)
I don't believe there was any special editing done. Nor did they print that
picture just to make him look bad (LOL). It sounds like Val as far as I'm
concerned. His picture looks like him sans movie makeup.
I do think it's cool that there is a place where the fanatics can go and get
things off their chests. They can be very entertaining sometimes.

Golly Seamus, you sound almost......jealous. But I'm glad you brought up his
new movie At First Sight.
(This is based only on the trailer.) I think I'm going to like Mira Sorvino
much better than Elizabeth Shue as a love interest. Much, much better. I'm not
going to like this movie if it is a big tear-jerker. I can handle some but not
a 10-hankie one.
I think that more of the original story should have been kept instead of
developing a storyline just to show the 2 stars in bed.
This isn't a story that appeals to you, does it Seamus?

Maybe you are right , Seamus. McConaughey has a gorgeuos chest , by the
way, and I suspect Sophie has the same "chest weakness " that I have, so
maybe that's why she mentioned him. I know she liked "Willow" as much as
I did, that's how I can tell.Sophie! Are you there? Speak up! My

Ok , girls' talk shall it be then. Have you noticed his chest in Willow?
Because if so, here's another question: have you seen "The favor" with
Brad Pitt? It relates because it was the first time after Willow I had
this "revelation "that a man's chest can lead to heaven in some sort
angelic way.(With trumpets and everything).
It was willow that brought to my attention the appeal of a mans chest, WOW
Prudhoe
Hello Prud, good to have you.
Yes Sioux, it's not too hairy. Just right. But if we are going to talk about
exceptional parts of VK, I believe the lips and the legs are the best things on
the man. Oh, and that jaw line of his. Frames the lips perfectly.
Some fantastic PK'er found a place in The Ghost and The Darkness where Patterson
is loading his gun on the bridge where you can get a glimpse of his manhood
through his pants. If Seamus was any sort of a friend, he'd scan it and put it
on his website. :)
