I'm starting a campaign to get the DC sniper on the ballot for
the November 2004 presidential election. He will be running
as the Sniper Party candidate and I am taking suggestions for
his running mate.

It's about time that America had a Serial Killer/Mass Murderer
as president. Too bad the 1996 Unabomber for President
campaign wasn't successful.

I can't remember a time when we had a President who

WAS NOT a Serial Killer and Mass Murderer.

That's not a criticism in all cases, even.

He can't be president, he doesn't meet the qualifications. You have to
have friends on the Supreme Court now to be president.

How you can post such an idea is beyond me. Its important to try and
be a little understanding. This sniper could very well be a terrorist
and in that
case do you really want to be promoting/endorsing Al Queda?
Killing people at random, with no notice, and shooting a child are
unforgiveable.

So if people are carefully selected, warned, and are an adult, it's OK to
shoot them?

I need to know, so that I don't offend your sensibilities any more with
random targets. Maybe I'll make it a target practice game. Would that make
you feel any better?

DC Sniper for President!

What a great idea!

Nope. I sure don't.

OK. So if it's a game, and they have a chance to defend themselves, then
it's all right? How the HELL do YOU know they weren't harming anyone? You
don't. Maybe that CHILD just stomped on a kitten's head. You don't know,

Sorry, Bruce. You *entirely missed* Adrianna's point. So what if Saddam
can't buy from the U.S. and our allies? He is still able to trade with
nations not participating in the embargo (it is, after all, an embargo, not
a blockade, and Iraq still trades with certain other Islamic nations, and
those in some Asian countries who smuggle supplies into Iraq), and his
domestic food supplies aren't as insufficient as he'd like you to believe.
He's just pissed that he has to buy his Hershey bars marked-up third-hand.
Even without the embargo, he'd still be hoarding the food supplies for
himself and his cronies while letting Kurdish children starve. The embargo
just gives him a chance to complain to certain gullible idiots that children
are starving because the U.S. won't sell him food. It's a PR move, and not
by any stretch of the imagination does it resemble a legitimate complaint.
The issue isn't availability of food from outside, it's a refusal to
distribute it properly within Iraq, and that's not any fault of the U.S. or
its allies [and no, I'm not advocating Socialism for Iraq. That doesn't help
to produce or distribute goods and services, either. I'm advocating removing
Saddam from power, since his regime is the real reason for that nations'
suffering.]. Blaming *us* is all about generating sympathy while dodging
responsibility for how he treats his citizens. It's a real load of shit,
tho, because we both know anything he bought from us wouldn't go to help the
starving Kurdish children. He's using them for target practice, what makes
you think he cares if they get American exports? They weren't getting any
before the embargo, and it was because of Saddam then, too. In light of all
this, why do we still not trade with them? Because as long as the Hussein
regime is in power, it's the right response, morally, regardless of how the
bastard chooses to spin it to the rest of the world. It's just like when
Fidel Castro shut down Cuba's privately owned hot-dog carts and lemonade
stands (how petty can you be?), as defiant of true Socialism, while
grumbling that Cubans were starving because they weren't able to buy
American foodstuffs and threatening to begin exporting cuban counterfeit
Coca Cola to the rest of the world. All this while still claiming that
America's Free-Market economy was doomed to failure while his Socialist
economy would lead to prosperity. Kruschev was wrong, Castro was wrong, and
Saddam Hussein is wrong, too. 'Blame America' is a popular gambit when your
oppressive regime is ruining your nation, but it doesn't change the fact
that it's your oppressive regime that's ruining your nation, not the U.S.
It's not hard to see through the PR bullshit if you just try.
