While the boy's were in Texas during the inside Zoo TV shows, Bono said
his favorite beer is Shiner Bock, which is brewed in the central Texas
town of Shiner. This beer is available in many specialty beer shops in
the US, if you want to track it down. Bono also said that as far as a
major brand, he liked Heinigen (sp?). Of course, I'm sure Guiness is
also on the list of favs.

In the 3rd video version of One (which has to be one of
the best videos ever) Bono is sitting at a table with with
several bottles of Heinekein (sp?)...
Although I love the idea of the boys kicking back with
a case of the Beast (Millwalkee's Best, a very cheep and
mediocre beer at best. Someone told me that it wasn't even
sold in Milwalkee although it's all they drink here in
Charlottesville).

This was sarcasm for those who didn't detect it. Beast and
Nati-Light is fit only for fraternity keg parties, not the best
band in the world.

Yeah, and The Edge said he was rather partial to Steinlager (New Zealands
premium export lager), when he was here in NZ. I'm sure they praise a beer
from every country they have visited.

I'm not sure, but I think in the Rotterdam boot, Bono is talking about
the legal marijuana in the Netherlands???

Heineken rules, by the way...far and away the most popular beer in Greece.

Well, considering Guiness is Ireland's biggest money spinner (U2 is the
second largest), it doesn't really come as a suprise. Just about everyone
in Ireland drinks the stuff. Oh yeah, just as a matter of interest, U2
generate so much income in Ireland (their cafe, recording lable and sales,
of course) that the Inland revenue has two tax officers assigned to them
alone.
