We are pleased to report that in a unanimous decision Tonya has won her
second pro fight, against Shannon Birmingham in Gulfport, Miss:

"Former figure skater Tonya Harding won her first professional bout,
winning a four-round unanimous decision over Shannon Birmingham in a
bantamweight bout. Harding (1-1) lost on the Mike Tyson-Clifford
Etienne undercard last month at the Pyramid in Memphis."
Not much is known abot Birmingham apart from her being 23 years old and
a bank employee. Some sources say she comes from Alabama, others from
Tupelo, Miss., the same town as Tonya's previous opponent Samantha
Browning.
The Columbian is reporting that Tonya's next bout is scheduled for March
28 in Oklahoma City. After that, she will take a month-long break to
intensify her training in Nashville:

The Tennessean has another interesting article about Tonya's training
regime, and an interview with her trainer Jeff Hargis:

We congratulate Tonya on her victory and hope that this win will prove
to skeptics that Tonya is to be taken seriously in her new career as a
fighter.
