...And be Cliched, and Hyperactive, and not know Dick about our GLORIOUS 1st Age Internet Heritage, and not Peep, or write Filks, Wackylaces and MSTings.

Brendan and Wayland closed the True Religion, although you can still access the site via web.archive.org, then enter into it ducttape.simplenet.com or holyductape.com, everyone else just... drifted away and moved on.

Once Upon A Time,
Some things drift further than others. Some things don't drift at all, and
the tide just washes everything else away.

I would have prefered a balloon-related metaphor but I got bogged down by
in-head editing. Maybe if I got a real balloon I'd rise to the challenge.
I'm not shopping for one today, so my bubble wand will have to suffice.

I'm back on usenet, now that I'm no longer a productive member of society. I didn't add AFTS to my much-diminished group lineup.

I still think there’s time to go back to Usenet. Is the Russian server still active? Where are the wacky laces? And my day is not complete without a post from the Munificent Mister Hole or even a fleeting appearance by Kibo.

Talking with everyone all those years ago was a time I wish I could go back to and visit again. A bygone era.
