Reese Witherspoon in Freeway

REESE WITHERSPOON is a fantastic actress. Earlier someone mentioned that
her most interesting recent work was in the HBO movie called "Freeway". I
concur. Earlier her finest acting was in "The Man In The Moon" which is my
favorite movie, and by watching these two movies one can really see her
incredible acting range. It is stellar!
I have seen all of her films except "Wildflower". and some network
movie of the week.
The film "Freeway" is a hilarious dark comedy, full of straight up in
your face anger and some subtle humor elements. One such scene that I did
not get the first time I watched "Freeway" but laughed at in later
viewings was when Keifer Sutherlands character "Bob" took Reese
Witherspoons character, "Vanessa" out to eat. Vanessa talked lovingly and
admirangly (sp) of her father that she had never met because her mom told
her that he died when she was a baby. Then she asked Bob if he wanted to
see a picture of her Dad. He said 'sure', and she took out her wallet and
showed him an old black and white photo. Bob took it and looked at it. It
was a photo of some old famous serial killer perhaps Richard Spec? or
Starkweather (I am not sure), but a psycho nonetheless. Bob almost choked
on his food, held back a chuckle and said, "Well Vanessa, he is an
interesting looking man." and handed her back the picture. She said,
"thanks", smiled at the picture and belched and sweared.
There is a lot of graphic language in this movie. A 'shitload' is the
proper technical term for the amount. Since I had a lot free time on my
hands I decided to do something constructive, not to mention meaningful
with that time and count the number of swear words that are expressed in
this graphic movie. The following is the statistical breakdown of the
curse words in the film "Freeway" which runs appoximately 102 minutes.

In summing up I believe that this film has more graphic language in it
based on Cuss Rate (cuss words per minute) 1.40 than any movie I have
seen. On a scale of 1 to 10 this movie rates an 8. Not reaching the 9 only
due to its lack of nudity. But everything else a movie goer wants is
there!
