Grom,

Seems I missed you in chat by about a minute, literally. :-( See you next
week, or better still, drop me an e-mail to "fub...@on.maps.pobox.com" (less
the on.maps part, of course. :-) Hope to "see"/hear from you soon. Again,
sorry I missed you.

bufs.

I have to say the New Year started off great AFTIwise in the chat last
night. Thanks to all who showed up for a fun chat where everyone was
cordial and well-behaved. :)

Cordial and well-behaved doesn't have to mean boring.

Yes, and on that note... Some people should be aware that, even if the chat
seems to be slow going, it's best to hang around because other people might
show up and make it lively once again. :-)

I have found that out the hard way. It seems like either right after I
leave or, if I am slow, when I am about ready to leave, someone else cool
walks in. It's almost like a revolving door of sorts.

I guess the trick is to say you're leaving and place your thumb and finger
on the Alt-F4 keys when in IRC; this will bring someone else in. :)

Yes, it would be nice if we were psychic so we'd know if another AFTI
denizen will show up soon. :-) Unfortunately, the person that I really had
in mind when I wrote the above, seems to be leaving for good. :-(

Even with a couple of regulars absent last week, we had a total of 15 of the
AFTI faithful in all show up - nearly a record if not one. (13 was the most
at any one time). And as I was about to leave, one did show up - again. ;)
