So THAT's what his name is.
We were watching the Italy concert of Madonna the other day & she was
practically all over him on stage as they danced. You could tell he was liking
her overly flirting with him--especially the kiss on the lips right there on
stage in front of 10s of thousands. (Leave it to Madonna to practically molest
a boy on-stage!)
If you havent caught that concert, it is a MUST.
She's not that good in it---but he is GREAT!!
Spectacular dance moves.
We kept wondering what his name was & whatever happened to him?
He should be in his 20s now.

(Maybe he's the next one she's PG for.)

Are you talking about the video tape, I think her True Blue tour? That
kid on stage isn't Felix Howard, but Chris Finch of Kidsongs fame, who
also, when he was 16 released a single called "Sweeter Love". I used to
have the cassingle and I wanted to scan the cover, but I have no idea
where it is these days. Also, that's Chris Finch on the skateboard in
Madonna's "Who's that Girl" video.

Rumor has it, however, that her and Felix used to have a thing. I also
read someplace that Chris Finch was used on stage to represent Madonna
when she was a boy in a past lifetime. Who knows. It's all cool to me.
I love symbolism.

> If you havent caught that concert, it is a MUST.

I used to have it on video myself.

> She's not that good in it---but he is GREAT!!

Did you see the part during "Into the Groove" when Chris started dancing
at the wrong time and while still singing she was walking toward the
camera and stopped his dancing by placing her hand on his belly. I'm
trying to make sure we're thinking about the same concert. It also had
the conveyor belt running across the stage.

Felix, who was a 13-year-old actor and a model at the time later had
some kind of skin problem. Kind of unfortunate, really. He was
quite attractive. It was no surprise that he was a model, but he must
have been a stage actor. I read somewhere that he appeared in an
episode of Baywatch, but I can't confirm it. The only other thing I've
ever heard of him being in is the video "Russians" by Sting. I've never
seen the video, but it seems like I saw a Sting video compilation which
included Russians at video universe. Unfortunately I missed it during
the R's on MTV2's A to Z videos. They're in the T's now it seems.

The ONLY reason I know his name is because when Martha Quinn was a
DJ for MTV back when "Open Your Heart" was new, she actually said,
"13-year-old actor/model, Felix Howard". I never forgot the name.

That's all I know about him at this point.

Firstly TB, do we like the same people or what???
Almost all of our likes are the same.
LOL!

Now onward:

He's different?
But they look a lot alike. Hmm I need to see pix of them side by side then.
They just cant be the same.
Nonetheless, is it part of the Kidsongs that airs on PBS right now? If so, I
will have to start watching.
If not, is his Kidsongs stuff on pre-record video?
I have a few of their earlier songs but only like 3.
(Rockin Robin, Let Me Take You On A Sea Cruise (good one), & cant recall the
others.)

Yea, she symbolized all over him on that stage!
I love symbolism too.

Yesterday, I saw a bunch of Madonna DVDs for sale at Best Buy & I think that
was one of them.

Yea, that's the one.
Are you sure he made a mistake though?
I thought it was just part of the act. A chance for Madonna to put her hand on
his body part in front of thousands & get away with it !

(Rest of this info you stated was interesting. I'm going to save it for future
reference on him.)

WHAT???!!!
Damn, I get MTV2 on my satelite !
I will have to start checking this out.
Thanks for the info.

I was doing some Net Search on Chris Finch & here is what I found:

Here is some current news on Madonna's True Blue tour dancer CHRIS FINCH I
found on the web.
He is currently starring in a production of ROMEO & JULIET
and is Radio DJ Ricke Dees assistant or something similar.

A web reported this about him in ROMEO & JULIET:
"Chris Finch as Benvolio - is known around the world as Madonna's Boy Toy and
can be heard daily in L.A. on KIIS FM's The Rick Dees' Show"

I went to the Rick Dees Radio web and sure enough there was an audio of Rick
taking a gag call about Madonna currently being pregant. Sometime during this
Internet audio file, a female calls in wanting tickets to something & Rick
tells the lady to call 1-800-RICKDEES and he says a young guy named Chris Finch
will answer and help you out.

Chris isnt in the audio file but his name is.
Anyway, this is all at:
http://www.rick.com/

Well, at least we know where he ended up since his Madonna days.
Impressive.

Hmmm. Maybe that can be picked up on other radio stations. Hopefully
it's a syndicated show. Back to the website for more research.

Yeah! I went to hear that, too! Talk about synchronicity!

Jeez... All this is confusing now. I thought Felix was working with
Rick Dees, but...after researching DejaNews for my past conversations, I
rediscover that ChristCarp said that Felix (from the Open Your Heart
video, not Madonna's concert) is now in his 20's, living in England and
he has a rock band. He was definitely not on Baywatch, according to
ChristCarp.

Anyway, they are (were) two different boys. At first I thought Felix
was in the concert, too, but later discovered it was Chris.

Chris would be 26 years old now give or take a few months. On Deja.com,
Angie Hung said he was an Associate Producer for the Rick Dees show and
that he was 22 years old. That was 1996.

First it was the "Who's that Girl" tour, not True Blue. We're thinking
of the same concert. I just had the wrong title, but I do know the
video jacket was very blue.

They had similar haircuts, but if you see them side by side, you can
definitely tell the difference. I don't have any closeups of Chris
Finch and I don't have Who's That Girl on video...of course, Chris
didn't get any closeups in that video anyway.

Come to find out, Felix was supposed to go on tour with Madonna but
couldn't get a work license. He was crushed by it and cried a lot.
That's why Chris Finch was on tour. Felix wanted to, but couldn't. :(

I can't imagine the incredible hurt he must have felt... to go on tour
with a huge star like Madonna, but not being able to because of the way
the blasted laws work! :( :( :(

He should be 26, going on 27 now this summer if my math is correct. He
was 14 in the summer of 1987.

> Nonetheless, is it part of the Kidsongs that airs on PBS right now? If so, I

If you have Kidsongs on your local PBS station, then he might be on it
if they're the old Kidsongs. I get a national PBS feed and Kidsongs is
nowhere to be found. :( I think Chris was dressed in white pants and a
red "top". I think he was dressed like an elephant trainer or
something.

Perhaps the people on this mailing list would know something. Send a
blank e-mail to:

chrisfinch...@onelist.com

> If not, is his Kidsongs stuff on pre-record video?

Yes, I have seen Kidsongs for sale at Wal-Mart, but it's been several
years. Heck, it's been several years since I've looked at videos at
Wal-Mart, so for all I know they might still have them. If not go to
www.videouniverse.com and search for Kidsongs. You will get search
results, but one video I checked was "released" in 1998. If they're
still making Kidsongs videos, it might be a newer one that's "Chrisless"
so give continued research a hand.

Here's another Kidsongs link:

http://www.summers-music.com/movies/kidsongs.shtml

And this link has a picture on it. It's not very big, but I think
that's Chris, the first kid from the left.

http://www.clarusmusic.com/hi_rec/hi_rec_kidsongs_nf.html

Jeez. Some people have no class. This website gives credits and
mentions "Mike the Dog" but none of the kids. They don't call the video
"Dogsongs" do they?

Good luck. It doesn't even show up on any of the searches I do at
various web music shops.

Madonna gets all the attention, of course. The kids are just
accessories.

I may "rebuy" the video one day. I don't know what happened to mine
except that it might have been ruined by water damage. Kidsongs must be
popular, too. Some of them are available on laserdisc.

Well, even when I was a "kid" watching it, I thought Chris was cute and
she was lucky to get to dance with him. I thought the same thing about
"Open Your Heart" when Madonna kissed Felix. I tried to find it just
now. I know I have a picture of Felix that's not from Russians or from
Open Your Heart, but I just can't find it. I know I didn't delete it.
Heck, it took me 12 years to come across the image and I know I'm not
dumb enough to delete it. Maybe I moved it to a floppy for safe
keeping.

I don't think they'll ever do A to Z again. I hear that people are
calling in to complain because they aren't seeing the same videos 10
times a day like they used to do. But MTV2 has committed themselves to
finishing it, apparently. I still think they should do A to Z in
regular rotation from now on from 12am to 6am at least. It's the only
way to really predict when videos will play. They never even post a
schedule to their web site!

Help me out here. Did I not read in this group or in ABPT-I that Felix
contracted a rare disease that left blotches on his skin? The story goes, IIRC,
that he was in line to be in several Madonna works, but the skin disease, which
started in central areas, gradually moved out to his face and hands, effectively
ruining his on-screen career. He went on to form a band that plays in the New
York area.

None of this info has any support except my own recollection of conversations
long past.

I found an exe I really wanted to see in action, but since it came from
a ***** group I decided to run a virus scan for once in my life. Sure
enough, it was a virus. :-)

Jeez, I tried to find her e-mail, but couldn't so I subscribed to her
Chris Finch mailing list. :)

Hmmm. Dead link. Does it load for you?

Jeez, before the 'net it took me weeks just to find a book store that
had any info, and even then I didn't have any place to enter search
parameters.

Man, she moves a lot. Almost every site I visit of hers is either dead
or has a "this site has moved" line that leads to a non-existent site.

Haven't had any luck finding anything. :(

Yes, those damn EXE files and the MORON who posted them.
Probably that MOT dude!

I keyed up her web just fine.
First I had found her web in one of the web Searches on "Chris Finch"
But when I got there, I didnt really know where to go since there was so much
so I emailed her & she sent me the link & addy. It was the exact same one you
tried. I cant figure out why it didnt work for you.
Try again.

She has a bunch of foreign magazine pages of him dancing when he was a teen as
well as newer and older stuff.

That is C&P'ed right from her email. I tested it so hopefully youy will get it
going.

I use Windows and I've never caught a virus even though I can count on
one hand how many times I've used a virus scanner. Don't have virus
scanning installed. I used a web-based one a couple of weeks ago
because I though a particular file was a virus .exe, and sure enough it
was.
