Out of the blue and into the black.
You pay for this, but they give you that.

there was a blooper in pulp fiction too.. when vincent shot off marvins
face and they had to pick up brains and skull.. winston fox wrote down
in his black book "one body, no head" well when they threw the garbage
bag in the trunk with the bloody clothes in it, there was marvin's head.
if anyone has the post that told about the soul being in the suitcase
and what everything meant, could they please email it to me at

The line "one body, no head" could have meant the body was separated from
the head or that the head was blown off. Or... Marsellus who called Mr.
Wolf got the info wrong!
No...that could be an honest mistake. Wolf could have thought that the body
would have no head because Marvin had been shot in the face. The real blooper
is when Jules and Vince are getting hosed down and Jules takes his pants off
twice.

I noticed this too. At first, I thought, well, maybe Harvey Keitel
doesn't smoke or had quit and didn't want to inhale so he just didn't
light it. Since this was Quentin's first film, perhaps he didn't think
anyone would notice since Mr. Pink was smoking and smoke was coming from
him and most of the shot was from a distance but later Harvey's cigarette
is lit and he does inhale - at least it seemed like he did. So, then I
wondered if the shot was originally a warm-up/practice and was filmed and
the editor put it in in lieu of the real one either accidently or because
there was something wrong with the real one. Either way, it's a small
error and doesn't take anything away from the film in my opinion.

Most of the bloopers that have been listed past and present seem to be
mistakes of the editor rather than Tarantino... of course, he should have
noticed these things when he viewed it before it was released. Unless, he
left them in on purpose? Any thoughts on that? Perhaps he wanted to see
how closely people would view his films.
White attempts to light the cigarette but doesn't, after a while during
his conversation with Pink, he goes and washes his hands, face then combs
his hair. After he does this, THEN he lights the cigarette. I guess just
b4 he lit up he realized that he had Orange's blood and sweat on him and
decided to postpone it.
OR, there was a soul in the lighter that wanted to quit smoking.
SERIOUSLY, Quentin said so in an interview. (How many people are
believing this?!)

I thinkg this was meant to be.. in other words, it looks like Mr. White
goes to light the cigarette, then the character (White) decides he doesn't
want to smoke it at that time. I notice that part every time I watch
the movie, and now it seems to make sense. I am positive that he does
light the cigarette later (after he washes his face, and the blood off of
his hands.)

I'm pretty sure Harvey is shown lighting the cigarette. You're right, he doesn't
light it or smoke it then (But it doesn't look like he tried to either, he look slike
he's too deep in thought) but I am almost positive that he lights it after or while he
and Buscemi leave the washroom. He does smoke it later.
As for the lighter and the gas trail, didn't he back up a little from the trail? It's
conceivable that he could drop it and miss the gasoline... (not definite, but
possible)
