Can anyone explain the significance of Esmeralda Villa-Lobos?

It almost seems pre-planned that she roars into an alley way to get
Butch. Also, she is driving barefoot.

Any ideas?

Well, Butch had to have a get-a-way, so I expect he called for
a cab.

Her real function in the story is to allow Butch to talk to the
audiance in a way otherwise unavailable about things he cannot
otherwise say to anyone else; this is particularly apparent in
the screenplay and the outtake scene, that can be viewed on the
Ltrbx Collector's Edition.

Close. Excluding the small part that was cut from the movie, the story
from Angela Jones (actually I believe a student film) was about a cab
driver picking up clients after various carnage, which is why she had such
great interest in how Butch felt about killing someone. Tarantino saw the
film and wanted to include a small bit in PF. The film titled "Curdled"
still might make it into a feature yet.

It has already been made. It stars William Baldwin, with QT exec
producing. I don't know when it will be released, but apparently NYU film
students got a sneak peek at it.

Isn't Angela Jones the actress who plays Esmeralda Villa-Lobos?

Wow, cool. Too bad Angela wouldn't come here and post about it. Thanks,
Skander..

As far as her signifigance, I'm not sure about that, but in the script
there are a few unfilmed lines that establish that Butch had called her.
That fits with the lets-screw-marcellus deal.
