Just got back from a 700+ mile round trip to Cardiff.
Sting was fantastic, did he deviate from his set at all at Hyde Park? We
were treated to Bring on the night/ When the world is running down and Set
them free, also an extra 10minute loner audience sing- along to Roxanne.
Heat was tremendous, but he looked and sounded
excellent.

Was Sting's Cardiff gig an all-seater affair?

I saw Sting at Hyde Park this year, but as other people have mentioned in
previous postings, the atmosphere was dampened by having all-allocated
seating which meant people/stewards moaning at you when you stood up and/or
danced.

I saw Bryan Adams at Cardiff Castle last year, and that was standing only.
It made the atmoshpere much more lively.

Robin, everyone had a seat, but when we got up, firstly to welcome Sting,
some old git in front of us complained to the stewards that people were
standing. So after a few numbers we were so fed up that we went to a grassy
area to the left of the stage and we were allowed to dance there : we never
returned to our seats . As usual the non-Sting fans came alive when the
first police track was played.
The concert was brilliant, best since Finsbury '96. Would like to hear
something from MF. Did Sting tell fly joke at Hyde Park?
