I was wondering, have any of you also heard the song Lemon Tree, which I
believe is by Sting, yet Stingchronicity won't agree with me. They believe
that it is not Sting, does anyone have any opinions on this?
Cheers,
Farz.

I don't know who got the idea to slow down the original recording and
claim that it's Sting, but it sure seems to create confusion - VERY
many people who hear the slowed down version will swear that it is
Sting, and those who only know the original version can't for the life
of them understand how anyone could mistake this for Sting...!
Up until a month ago I belonged to the latter group, but then I got
hold of the slowed down version, and finally it dawned on me how all
these people could have been confused all this time.
Anyway, the bottom line is: The song is NOT by Sting. If you want to
hear the difference, both songs are still on Napster.
Hope this clears things up a bit.

That's what Stingchronicity had to say as well, but I have heard the song by
Fool's Garden, and the singer sounds nothing like the one which I have,
where it is Sting (so I believe) singing.
Any ideas?
Yes- the speed of the recording was slowed down in order to sound like
Sting (and therefore trick a whole lot of people into thinking that it
was, in fact, Sting singing the song). For the thousandth time, it's NOT
Sting.
