"Well, Democrats aren't the only ones extremely upset about Democrat Martha
Coakley's loss to Republican Scott Brown in the Massachusetts special election
for Ted Kennedy's old Senate seat," declares an unsigned Puffington Host post.
"It turns out Hitler is hopping mad as well." Below the intro is a YouTube
video titled "Hitler Finds Out Scott Brown Won Massachusetts Senate Race." If
the Puffington Host folks are amused by a video depicting Hitler as an angry
liberal, never let it be said that they lack a sense of humor.

An earlier version, which also appears in the Puffington Host post, shows the
Fuehrer reacting angrily to a loss by the Dallas Cowboys. This of course is
part of an Internet meme in which new subtitles, referring to some current
event, are added to the bunker scene from the 2004 German film "Der Untergang"
("Downfall").

But wait, it gets even funnier. The German magazine Der Spiegel today carries
an article titled "The World Bids Farewell to Obama":

US President Barack Obama suffered a painful defeat in
Massachusetts on Tuesday. With mid-term elections looming,
it means that Obama will have to fundamentally re-think
his political course. German commentators say it is the
end of hope.

The despairing "German commentators" range from "left-leaning" to
"center-right," which in American terms would roughly translate to "far left"
to "center-left." If we didn't know the Hitler video was a joke, we'd almost
think Jonah Goldberg had a point.

It's now time for healing, and for fixing the damage the Democrats did
to America.
