i haven't personally noticed any other comments about this, so i'm sorry
if it's been debated already...
anyone have any comments or thoughts on Williams' use of a major-mode
version of the "Palpatine/Sidious/Dark Side" theme in the final parade
music? This is the melody sung by the children's choir. I don't
*dislike* it per se- i just thought it was an interesting/odd choice.
you'd think it would be a more obvious choice if, say, they actually
defeated the dark side and this was their victory music. (of course,
that would be much too cliche as well!)
anyway- thoughts?

Wow - I hadn't noticed that. It seems rather appropriate to me, since
the seeming triumph of the innocents was really was a victory for the
Emperor-to-be. And, of course, it fits in with Anakin's Theme/the
Imperial March quite well.

But you see, that is the best part! They think they have won, and peace has
returned! But it is the dark side that has truly won! MUhahahahaha!
I think it is an excellent, and subtle effect I might ad.
