I kinda liked the tall, blonde geek....good drummer.
I've always been partial to John "Stumpy" Peeps...his upbringing in
classical theory helped A LOT in the musical development of Spinal Tap.
For instance, just listen to some of the fills he throws in during
"Nice n' Stinky". He knows not to over do it. Also, little known fact
- it was before he recorded the track that he broke his arm
snowboarding in Vienna...so, some would think that a one-armed drummer
would be a drawback(*insert Def Leppard joke here*), but the "one armed
drummer" lent itself very well to the entire session and band.
If memory serves me, haven't all of the members of Spinal Tap (Living &
deceased) recorded/toured at one time or another with a broken
appendage of some sort? Anyone know? Help with specifics
(members/appendages, er, bandmembers that is, not the, well, you
know...)
Phil
TAP FUCKIN' RULES, MAN!!!
I thought Pepys died in a "bizarre gardening accident" which was best left
unsolved by Scotland Yard?
At least that's what I thought happened to that "tall, blond geek with
glasses" and a "great look; good drummer."
