According to an article in The Hudson Reporter (which you can find on
Google News)), Joe Franklin signed off from WOR in New York due to
health reasons. Michael McKean and Billy Crystal called in. If you saw
"This Is Spinal Tap" on DVD, you saw a clip of the band appearing on
Franklin's old TV talk show. McKean is in that segment along with Harry
Shearer and Christopher Guest. Crystal impersonated Franklin during his
SNL stint. Franklin is seen in "Gigantic: A Tale Of Two Johns," which
features Michael and Annette O'Toole, his Oscar-nominated better half.

If you get volume two of "Saturday Night Live: 25 Years: The Music,"
there is a Joe Franklin sketch on it. It is performed by Billy Crystal,
Martin Short and Christopher Guest. Crystal plays Franklin. Also, Spinal
Tap singing "Big Bottom" is on the DVD also. Short is the host.

And then you're falling in love with the lesbian again? Oh brother. I didn't
like it the first time... when it was called Chasing Amy.
