News story:
"(AP) NEW YORK - A woman burned to death in the elevator of her
Brooklyn apartment building Saturday afternoon after a man ambushed
her, sprayed her with liquid and set her afire with a Molotov
cocktail, police said. The unidentified man was waiting for the woman,
who was in her 60s, when the elevator doors opened to her floor of the
Crown Heights building. The man sprayed her with an accelerant and set
her on fire ..."

I suppose this means the police aren't going to look into whether the
woman was another case of spontaneous combustion. It happens all the
time, you know, it's just not widely reported.

Sometimes the police say, "Well, best leave it unsolved."

Ever notice how monks seem to be awfully susceptible to SHC? I'm
thinking that maybe it happens when, as Graham Nash complained to
David & Janeane in "Return of Tap", one of their balls goes all funny?

PS: A friend of mine who used to work for Jimi Hendrix just showed me
a vintage amp (I've forgotten the maker's name; it was something
obscure) that goes up to 12 of all things. It looked old enough to
predate Nigel's "11", so I really don't know what to think about it.
Comments?

PPS: Has any real evidence come up regarding the existance of Derek's
tepid reggae bootleg "Hot and Cold Running"?

PPPS: Anyone else heard the rumor that John Lennon's song "Cold
Turkey" was written about the poor quality of the backstage catering
at the '69 Toronto gig?
