Good News! Knuckles is getting his own comic book, below is the
announcement that Ken Penders made on America Online:

____________________________________________________________________________________

I thought it fitting Sonic fans on-line should be among the first to
hear this news!

KNUCKLES has just been promoted to HIS OWN SERIES! That's right.
KNUCKLES: THE DARK LEGION isn't just a mini-series anymore. It's the
first three issues of his very own on-going series. While not quite a
monthly for the time being, it'll skip a month in April, then resume
with the LOST PARADISE storyline in issues #4 through #6, skip a month
in August, then return (either) in the (tentatively titled) FORBIDDEN
ZONE or THE MASTER RACE storyline for issues #7 through #9, skip a month
and so on. At least that's the plan for 1997. '98 could be full time
monthly.

As for those skip months, we'll be releasing SONIC BATTLE ROYAL in April
and SONIC: BRAVE NEW WORLD in August. December's special is still
undecided as yetr, pending further information from Sega on their plans.

As I'm going to be the regular full-time writer on KNUCKLES and
currently involved big-time with the SONIC SPECIALS planned for this
year, my involvement with the regular SONIC series will cut back a bit.
After issue #50, my next work in the book won't be seen until #55. I'll
still be involved, though, as I'm certain a SONIC-KNUCKLES crossover is
inevitable.

As for guest shots by some of the other Freedom Fighters, I already have
plans for Tails to make an appearance in one of the storylines. As for
the others, there are always possibilities. Stay tuned for further
details.
