I know that the issues with capturing from the DCR-IP* to ..well..anything
with MovieShaker have been well documented, and I've reviewed the posts,
but I can't seem to find anything discussing whether it is possible using a
machine running Win98se - is it?
I have a DCR-IP5, and am connecting it to a Vaio n505 (laptop) running
98se. MovieShaker loaded with no problem, and runs with no problem. The
Vaio has detected the i-linik connection, and the camera shows under the
hardware profile (and when I click on it, it says it is enabled, and
that it has the most recent driver (January 1999??? - mind you I *just*
grabbed the latest updates, to no avail).
Despite this, when I click on the 'camera' icon to get MovieShaker into
capture mode, it complains that the camera is not connected (it is), and
advises me to make sure that it is turned on (it is).
Does anybody have any suggestions? Is it even possible to do this with a
machine running 98se?
Thanks!
Anne
