You do have a point. I'm glad that 'Jars' have reached out to others
with their awesome music. I just get too personal when I see somebody
saying they like something that they don't believe in. And if you want
to get the full impact of what the music of 'Jars' can do, then I
suggest opening your mind to try and believe what they are saying. Too
many people say that Christians are closed minded when actually it goes
both ways. If you don't open yourself to believe in something, then why
bother putting it down. It'd just be a waste of time.
In other words, it'd be useless to put me down for writing this. All I
have to say in return is, "I rest my point." Done and done.

Thanks for telling me stuff I already know. I'm actually aware of the
fact that Christians aren't perfect. My point is, however, that
Christians are supposed to strive to be like Jesus. If you aren't doing
this, then you really aren't a Christian. And please don't ask me what
my definition of a Christian is. There is only one true definition:
Asking Jesus into your heart to forgive you of all your sins. I urge
each and ever one of you to do this. Its so much more rewarding. I can
tell you stories upon stories about people who chose to walk with God.
Sure, they stumble now and then, but they are all having a better life
than what they are used to. In a world that decieves you, its good to
have good faith that in the end you're going to be alright.
Overwhelmingly good.
That's all. There's no more to say. Read it and believe it, or you can
belittle me all you want. I'll just pray for you all in the mean time.
I think its about time to get out of here anyway. I have a life to
attend to other than sitting, looking at a screen all day.

Listen man, I'm not going to belittle you or anything. I think it's great that
you are a Christian, and I'm happy for you, and I don't mean that
sarcastically, I swear. However, I DON'T like when people act like they are
better than you because they're Christians and you're not. Maybe I
misinterpreted, but that is the tone you are taking in your post above. Please
don't try to convince -me- of the benefits of Christianity, because I am 21
years old, and no matter what my religious beliefs are (which, by the way, is
nobody's business), they are mine, and they're not going to change. One of my
pet peeves is people who are on some sort of mission to convert everyone they
come across. Ugh.
My other point, there shouldn't even BE an argument over whether or not you
have to be a Christian to like Jars of Clay. I'm not a Buddhist, but I can
agree with some of the things that their religion teaches. Just as, even if
I'm not a Christian [which I might actually be, you never know... I'm not
telling.], if I like the way the music sounds, then by golly, I can listen to
any Christian band I want to regardless of my religion.
Oh, and by the way, the "if you're not doing this, then you're not really a
Christian" line, was REALLY bad. Just because someone ISN'T Jesus, or may make
a mistake, does not make them any less of a Christian than someone who is
"perfect". Besides, I don't believe that anybody can live perfectly up to the
standard you are setting to be a "Christian", not in this world, NOBODY is
perfect.

Well, I like Brian Setzer. I've been a fan since the Stray Cats, and listened
to the other BSO album a few years ago, before the "Swing Revival", but I do
agree that you can't really call him Swing. Not like you would BBVD or Royal
Crown Revue. [I like OLD bands too, not just the new bands.] Anyway, CPD isn't
even a REAL swing band, from what I know they were Ska before they were Swing.

I know that. I'm not trying to be holier than though. I'm sorry if it
comes off like that. All I'm trying to say is that Christians should
strive to be like Jesus. This means having great humility towards
others. I believe that Jesus was perfect also. Every Christian knows
that. I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm trying to shove a message down
your throat. After reading my own post again, it does sound like that. I
really didn't mean it, but I also didn't just mean for you alone to read

What I'm saying is that I stand up for what I believe in, and that

I've seen that show. I thought the pilot showed a lot of potential, but by
episode 4, I was feeling a little bored I kept flipping between it and the
All-Pauly-Shore-Network. I just didn't feel a sense of direction or continuity
in the storylines, but I will see the movie, should translate well to the big

Season one of GGS is over, but I hear next season they're going to introduce
some beautiful young people onto the show, because heaven knows they're just
aren't enough shows with beautiful young people these days. Rumor has it
they'll all take turns stabbing Gen, but nothing's confirmed.
In the movie, Gen sets out for a road-trip to see the contrinental 48 states
*and* Mexico, planning to be stabbed by someone in each place. Burt Reynolds,
Claudia Schiffer and Judge Judy are said to have bit parts. But who'd they cast
for Gen? I don't remember.

Now, why doesn't that surprise me? It *IS* a WB show afterall. The big rumor
I've heard swirling around on alt.tv.ggs is that on the "Very Special Christmas
Episode", Gen gets stabbed by Santa Claus himself. The big secret though is
that Santa will be played by none other than John Ritter. Oooh.

Isn't there going to be a big Taco Bell merchandising tie-in with GGS: The
Movie? I heard they got that talking chihuahua to say "Yo quiero, el stabbo
Gen."

played by David Cassidy. It's not confirmed yet, but I heard it from a friend
