Have any of you guys ever seen the comedy Ned And Stacey? Stacey shows a familiar resemblence to Sandra, especially when she smiles and laughs. Am I the only one who has noticed this?

Never seen that show, but I personally think she resembles Fran Drescher,
although Fran is incredibly annoying and Sandra's not.

Fran Drescher's *** character *** is incredibly annoying, but not
necessarily the actress herself.

On the subject of resembling SB, I am now watching to Rolonda Watts
talk show, and I've just heard a body double named Shelly Michelle
claim that, among many others, she has been a body double for Sandra
Bullock. She didn't say which movie, and Rolonda didn't ask about
that, but I suspect it's the notorious "Fire on the Amazon" aka "Lost
Paradise." Okay, so maybe that's not so relevant after all. Sorry.

Be well,
Steve

No, Steve - Shelly Michelle was NOT Sandy's body double in FIRE ON THE
AMAZON. No body double was used in that scene - you can clearly see
Sandy's face during the nude shot - and Shelley Michelle's breasts are
much bigger than Sandy's, so if she was a body double for Sandy, her
breasts would stick out like a sore thumb.
If She was hired as Sandy's body double - it would've been for one of
Sandy's bigger films. But just because she was hired, doesn't mean that
the scenes were used in the final version of the film.
Shelly Michelle was Julia Roberts' body double for PRETTY WOMAN - but not
for the brief breast shot (that really Was Julia) - She was the arms and
legs used at the begining of the film.
Being a body double doesn't always mean for nude shots - it's something
like a stunt person. Sometimes scenes with doubles are put into the film
later on (after the film was shot) to enhance a scene - just like
sometimes someone is hired later to dub someone's voice - it's quite
common in movies.

I always thought Sandy resembled Patty Smyth - and somewhat, Joyce Hyser
(of JUST ONE OF THE GUYS) - Anyone agree?

Steve, Shelly Michelle stood in for Sandy for the video box art for "A
Fool and His Money." (Charlotte Observer, 4 Aug 96) That's apparently the
only time she worked as Sandy's body double.

I don't think a body double was used for "Fire on the Amazon," because
she wasn't a big star at that time.

I'm wondering if the Charlotte Observer got it wrong. It sure looks
like Sandy on the box of "A Fool and His Money" (yes, folks, I've
actually seen it, and may I say, RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!). However,
there's this woman on the box for "Love Potion #9" (front and back,
not the side) who looks like Sandy, but obviously isn't (check that
nose), so maybe this is Shelly Michelle? Wouldn't be the first time
the media got something mixed up. Anyway, try checking it out of
yourself and tell me what you think.

I don't know about Patty Smyth, but I agree 100% about Joyce Hyser. When I
saw "Just One of the Guys," I was very much struck by her close resemblance
to Sandy.

smile and gorgeous hair!!

I'll definately agree with this observation, I just looked at both boxes
again and remembered that the girl on the Love Potion #9 Box is
definately not her if it's supposed to be. Every other box or LaserDisc
jacket I have is clearly her (or she's not on it at all in atleast one
case).

I've also noticed that too. I alos think that the actress that plays Stacey has
similar acting style to that of Sandy's.

Shelley Michelle? I think she doubled for Julia Roberts in "Pretty Woman"
(during the credits sequence).

And if a double had been used, she wouldn't have run out during takes...
(as reported by her co-star in FotA)

Sandra looks like.....

God.

If god were a female his incarnation would be as Sandra
Bullock.

I believe the picture is of actress Laura San Giaccone(sp?). She
co-starred in Sex, Lies, and Videotape, and also Pretty Woman.

I never saw the old packaging for the initial release, but it is
definitely Sandy on the box for the recent video re-release. Are you sure
you're not just confusing the "homely" make-up they had for the beginning
of the movie with a body double?

Laura San Giacomo. Personally I don't think that Sandy and Laura
look the same/similar. And I'm not clued up to why Sandy would need
a "body double" for the box covers anyway! Any one want to
enlighten me?

...this actress in the independent film I'm working on. Her name is
Alicia Hyde. The film is called Wierd Karma. It may be out in a year or
so. Some even dared to argue that she is cuter than Sandy. While I can
see their point, I'm staying on the sidelines in this argument :-).
