A quotient is often expressed as the answer in a sngle division problem, a
literal quote of the ogirinal problem. This is wrong by equation, unless
expressed in seperation with the equals puncuation. From latin form quote,
a quotient is a mathematical quote or equivelience that isn't not written
exact. Quotation is the act of quote puncuation being used, where as
mathamatics doesn't require such that is required in an english quote. In
math, division problem expressed with the symbol line of diagnal that has
interacted wtih the division expressed with a horizontal line is essentialy
each line alone a quotient of divide. Absent the equals and either left or
right of a algebraic expression may also be a quotient to the answer.
Whereas written 2/2=1 is an equation. The decimal answer of .5 is a
quotient to 50% and vice versa as the answer to the divison 1/2. 1/2 itself
also is a quotient. If 50% was of a qotient to 6/2 it does not remain a
quotient to 50% in 1/2 as those are exact, yet if expressed as .5, still not
a quotient to that of 6/2's problem.
