FACTION: Unaligned.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Amara is approximately 5'6", 130-ish
pounds, with a very nice figure, which she prides herself
on. She has dark brown eyes and her light auburn hair is
short, about chin length in the front, and shorter and
close cropped in the back. She'll generally wear a pair of
small, wire-frame glasses on a daily basis, but wears
contact lenses for more important occasions. Her attire
usually consists of comfy, thick soled, black suede
sneakers, broken in and comfy flared legged jeans, and her
favorite stretchy purple velvet shirt that has a low
neckline. Her amber rings are her pride and joy, and she
wears them proudly amongst her other silver jewelry.
POWERS: No specific powers have emerged in her just yet,
but her gift of empathy makes her fairly likable. She
relies very heavily on luck and the kindness of others,
which can usually see her though, but when faced with a
crisis can hold her own emotionally and intellectually.
Amara is also noted for her lovely singing voice. However,
a pretty song will rarely quash a violent threat towards
her and her friends.
EQUIPMENT: Accessories, accessories, accessories! Her
amber jewelry, of course, is an energy booster for her.
Within the fossilized stones lies the power of time and
strength. Another noted symbol is the eye of Ra that she
wears around her neck <silver, naturally>, with a matching
ring as well. The eye is a symbol of protection, and very
often shields her from dangers she may not be aware of.
Amara also carries a little Luna keychain, that magically
begins to give her advice and counsel shortly after
arriving on Otaku World. And being the pack rat that she
is, her hammerspace is always brimming with odds and ends
of interesting and eventually useful items such as a
blowtorch, post-itsâ„¢, a solid year's supply of Mr. Pibbâ„¢,
and the all-purpose-handy-dandy-always-reliable-
thingamajiger…which has yet to find a practical use.
WEAKNESSES: Unfortunately, along with being very
empathetic, Amara is also very trusting. Always finding
the need to "help" people uncontrollable, she'll often run
into a situation head-first without really thinking about a
way out if things turn messy. It's also difficult for her
to choose sides, mainly because she doesn't want to step on
anyone's toes. But when it comes to defending a friend or
cause she believes in, she will fight to the bloody end…
unless she finds out she's wrong…then she apologizes and
backs down. She isn't overly confident in a lot of things,
until you start to tell her she "can't" or "isn't good
enough". In such cases, her opponent could find themselves
with a severe case of foot-in-mouth or brick-in-face
syndrome.
PERSONALITY QUIRKS: Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the
fairest of them all? Well, even if it isn't Amara, she
must be pretty darned close…or so she thinks. She is in no
way naïve about being blessed with a large amount of…er…
talent, but tries not to be too vain (she prefers to think
of it as realistic). In truth, she is always searching for
outside approval, and will be the first one to make you
give credit where credit is due. Isn't overly emotional
herself, but others tend to have a large influence on her
world and how she sees it…even if that perspective seems a
bit off sometimes…
ORIGIN: "Never make a bet with a guy that has a female
deity's name…" Amara learned this lesson the hard way after
making a wager with a local (or so she thought) nutbag (or
so she thought) about whether or not the world of Sailor
Moon was fact or fiction. To prove his point, the "nutbag"
pushed Amara through a dimensional portal, which ultimately
plopped her smack in the middle of the Otaku Wars!. Now
searching for some way to get back home, she finds herself
on a quest to find the yin to her yang (keep your minds out
of the gutters) in order to restore some mystical balance
and unlock the strange powers she feels surging inside her
mind every now and then.
GOALS: Her main goal is to find her "other half" and find
the meaning in her strange journey…not to mention helping
anyone she can along the way.
NOTABLE ALLIES: Anyone that she feels she can trust.
NOTABLE ENEMIES: Anyone that screws her over…even once. No
one ever accused her of not being able to hold a grudge.
