I've been trying to work out what the exact Japanese word or phrase - used
frequently in Sailor Moon - meaning "I cannot forgive you" is. Tried
looking it up in my Japanese dictionary, but I haven't got the hang of
Japanese verbs yet, so the furthest I got was "yuru-something or other"! ^
^; Could anyone help me out with the romanized form of this word/phrase?
Ta!

To the best of my memory it's "Urusenai." I may be thinking of the wrong
thing, or spelling it wrong >_>

Naw, the word is "yurusenai" from the ichidan (I hope) verb "yuruseru."
Handy verb, that one is...

More specifically, "yurusenai" is the negative potential form of "yurusu,"
which means "to permit/to allow/to approve/to exempt (from fine)/to excuse
(from)/to confide in/to forgive/to pardon/to excuse/to release/to let
off/" according to EDICT.

Lyon is the lion-like Cardigan from the An-Ali section of season
R who hurt Makoto's friend Shinozaki. When she confronted
Lyon - who was threatening Sailor Moon, on top of it - she got
this look of absolute fury, roared "YURUSHINI!", and blew
Lyon to hell.

Makato and Minako. Of all the Senshi, they're the two I'd
most fear to be on the receiving end of a rage from.

Hehehe, tell me about it. ^_^ (Although I wouldn't complain about a 'small'
Thunder Crash. ^_^;;;;;;;;)

I caught "Nightmare Garden" on YTV this afternoon - the ep. where the girls
help out a kindergarden school because they all think the principal is a
hunk.

I swear, Minako looked downright terifying at times - that girl has to learn
to control her emotions.

But Makoto, serine, quite and sedate?? Working good with children?? Miss
"Nothing like the direct approach"?!?

(Still, got to love that outfit she was wearing, brought out the best in
her. ^_~)

Ummm, I think of all the Senshi, Rei has to be the one I wouldn't like to
get on the wrong side of. This is partly because, being a bit of a Usagi, I
would almost certainly get on her nerves in about 5 seconds flat; and also
because, without resorting to violence, she could reduce a sensitive soul to
a gibbering wreck with a few spiteful, sneering withering words...

Eevee, thinks that Rei is very smart and drop-dead gorgeous, but hell, I
wouldn't like to actually hang out with someone who has a temper like
hers...

The thing is, Rei may be short tempered, but her explosions of
anger tend to be fairly reasonable. Even when completely
outraged and furious, as she was against the mimicing monkey
in SuperS, she keeps herself under control.

Makoto and Minako tend to surrender to their rage. Against
Lyon, Makoto was going to blast her out of existance. And
if that hadn't worked, probably would have tried pounding her
into the ground by hand. In the two timing episode, Minako's
rage at being betrayed was such that she was able to rip free
of the 1-2-3 table - the only one in the whole series who
manages that - and launch so massive a Crescent Beam Shower
it not only nearly takes out Hawk and Tiger, but Sailor Moon
and Mini-Moon as well.

And that's why I would fear their angers more than the others.
Ami's would be steel cold and precise, Rei's red hot, Usagi's
full of force and determination... but Makoto's and Minako's
rage is an all consuming explosion.

Minako also tanks it off - in amusing circumstances - after being hit with
the pure heart extraction in S; also the only one to manage it. Clearly,
insanity lends her strength.
