That he is VERY uncomfortable. During the question about whether the VP
picks are qualifed to be President, his blinking was totally bizarre.

certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.

He desperately wanted to say "I know what you're trying to say, you little
pissant".
But that would have showed a side of him he's worked VERY hard to conceal.
I dont know, what does that tell you? Pelosi is the only person i
have seen blink more.

If Barack Obama has a single tragic failing it’s that he is not Tiger Woods.
If Hillary Clinton has a single tragic failing it’s that she is not Sarah
Palin.

I've been distracted by blinking before.
Was now.

When one gains a political certainty akin to
a loyal sports fan, one has achieved the final
tranquility of servitude, a joyous slavery.
"If ye love wealth better than liberty,
the tranquility of servitude better than
the animating contest of freedom,
go home from us in peace.
We ask not your counsels or arms.
Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you.
May your chains set lightly upon you,
and may posterity forget that ye were
our countrymen."
- Samuel Adams, August 1, 1776
So was Obama and he was blinking like that.
Obama was blinking 7 times faster than Obama?!
Wow - what a thing to say!
He's Arab and muslim. He's genetically accustomed to the desert.
Last night's debate may well be a "game changer." Obama is still
peddling the myth that a vote for McCain will be "a third Bush term"
and a continuation of the "failed economic policies of the past 8
years." It's amazing that so many people appear to be buying this
myth. To give one example: McCain voted against the Bush-Cheney upper-
income tax cuts because there were no offsetting cuts in spending,
thereby leading to the current huge deficits and the doubling of the
national debt.
At least McCain did not parrot the myth that Obama would be another
Jimmy Carter. By the way, McCain missed a golden opportunity to make a
dramatic point. When Schieffer asked if Palin is qualified to be
president, I shouted at the TV set: "She has more executive experience
than either Obama or Biden!"
After the debate one pundit said that "Obama _looked_ presidential."
This made me cringe because it brought back the nightmarish images of
Ronald Reagan, whose era has come to its logical conclusion--a
dramatic collapse of colossal proportions!

Once you consider the fact that McCain DID vote WITH Bush 90% of the time,
it makes much more sense..

And for every one instance you give where McCain voted against Bush, you can
also come up with about 9 or 10 where he voted WITH Bush.
It is an irrefutable fact that McCain was shamelessly smeared by Bush,
Rove, and the well-financed establishment Republicans after he won the
2000 New Hampshire primary by a huge landslide. Your meaningless
percents cannot refute the fact that McCain has been one of the
strongest critics of the neocon cabal! In my opinion, he is the only
one who has a chance of shaking up Washington and of tackling the
corrupt old-boy network!
You're so wrong. McCain has cultivated his image as a maverick, but he pushed
the Iraq war and lied about it. See this video collection of his Neocon
statements in pushing for the Iraq War.

Don't believe the lies. Republicans have been lying to ever since George H. W.
Bush ran for President.

There are only two kinds of Republicans: Millionaires and fools.
I am voting for McCain for the reasons stated in previous messages.
Bob Dole is the only other Republican for whom I have voted. By 1994,
I had already been turned off by slick Willy and Hillary.
And yet - he still voted WITH Bush 90% of the time.
But this time... THIS time... he says he'll do something Mavericky... and
THIS time he MEANS it.
Yeah, right.
The 90% is completely and utterly meaningless. Look at specifics!
I would like to add that McCain would also be in an ideal position to
negotiate the much-needed military alliance with Vietnam--which is
what Ho Chi Minh and his American OSS advisers wanted to do in 1945,
before the inept Washington hacks scuttled this proposal and decided
to support the French return to Vietnam.

Specifics like - he only voted *against* Bush less than 10% of the time?
McCain has more principles than most other politicians, certainly more
principles than Obama. Look at how Obama eliminated all his opponents
from the ballot when he first ran for the State Senate, and at the
documents stolen and released by his lawyers when he ran for the U.S.
Senate. The Huffington Post quoted McCain as having said that he did
not vote for Bush in 2000. McCain also considered joining the Senate's
Democratic Caucus. Unfortunately, when
you have a presidential system like ours, a potential candidate has to
make some very unpalatable choices.
Obama is the hand-picked and extremely well-financed candidate of the
Democratic Party establishment--with the objective of preventing the
hideous prospect of Bill and Hillary's return to the White House--just
as W was the hand-picked and extremely well-financed candidate of the
Republican Party establishment in 2000. Right now though, the Obama
campaign has all the makings of the mythical Ronald Reagan and of W.
The only other Republican for whom I voted is Bob Dole in 1996,
because I was thoroughly turned off by slick Willy and Hillary. I am
voting for McCain for the following reasons, which may be flights of
fancy:
1. McCain is the only one who has the ability, experience and tenacity
to shake up Washington and to tackle the corrupt old-boy network. He
may succeed where Carter failed.
2. McCain has the potential of sparking the resurgence of Teddy
Roosevelt's National Progressive (Bull Moose) Party coalition, which
is what is really needed now that the mythical Reagan era has come to
its logical conclusion--a dramatic collapse of colossal proportions.

Oh yah? What are his principles? What does he really believe in? Just who is
John McCain?

So we shouldn't blame McCain for his own bad behaviour?
