This raised nary an eyebrow in alt.politics.clinton (no surprise), so I
thought I'd give it a whirl here.

Subject: Arkansas Mafia Strikes Again

The New York Post (5/04/94 p. 8) reports that "an Arkansas state trooper
who went public with accusations that he procured numerous sexual partners
for Bill Clinton was transferred yesterday in an apparent punishment...

" 'It's a pretty serious situation,' said L.D. Brown, who was transferred
from an elite investigative squad to a highway-patrol unit that covers
Little Rock."

Although Brown wouldn't comment further on the transfer, it was viewed by
other officers as "a punishment."

"Major Deloin Causey, a top-ranking trooper in charge of uniformed highway
patrolmen, said he received a letter yesterday calling for the transfer
"effective immediately.'"

The letter was signed by state police director Colonel Tommy Goodwin but
gave no reason for the transfer.

"Obviously he has done something to get taken out of there [the
investigative squad] and be put on patrol," Causey said. While Causey
couldn't say for sure whether Brown's transfer was punitive, he noted that
"I don't know that he did anything. The only thing different I've seen is
the interview in The American Spectator."

The interview in question, which appears in the current issue of TAS,
details Brown's experiences as a member of Clinton's security detail from
1983-1985. Brown states that he spent only about 10% of his working hours
engaged in security-related activities; the rest of the time he was
involved in procuring sexual partners for Clinton.

"In recent years, Brown worked as part of a prestigious three-man
investigative team that reported directly to Goodwin, and focused on
white-collar crime."

Now Brown will be relegated to working as a highway patrolman: "He'll just
be a trooper on the road," said Causey, Brown's new boss.

Goodwin couldn't be reached for comment, but the Post needn't have
bothered. The pattern of events is a familiar one: Brown dropped a dime on
Slick; Slick's Arkansas Mafia took him out; Clinton's underhanded
thuggishness remains unchallenged.

Well, gosh, Aldo. The dwindling crowd of Clinton apologists is
no doubt pretty weary from hauling all that water. But here, they've
left a recorded message that answers all accusations (past, present and
future) in a calm, reasoned, rational response.

"Your post is a pack of scurrilous right-wing lies, you Limbot.
Tell Rash Limprag he's full of it. Proof! Evidence! Convictions!
That's all that counts! Go away! It happened YEARS ago, and
he/she/they LIED! And even if not, it doesn't matter because...

Your post is a pack of scurrilous right-wing lies, you Limbot!
Tell Rash Limprag... "

Any resemblance to any poster (past, present or future) is
not exactly coincidental, but vague enough that you'll
never know if I meant _you_, you lurking liberal. :-)

That's what I like most about liberals, Paul - their logical, fact-based,
dispassionate argumentation... :)

You must be that sort of liberal, huh?

Gosh, I thought it was more like:

"When in question
When in doubt
Run in circles
Scream and shout"

Them what shouts the loudest or acts the most obnoxiously must by right of
din be correct, n'est pas?

I guess liberals don't like it when their own tactics are used against
them...

Here's a logical response to your question:

Ah, yes, I understand now. This was a CODE used by Bill to
indicate the number of dead bodies needed to keep the presidency
alive.
