The right wing publication is upset because Obama hasn't provided:
However the following was offered by
biography.com
http://www.biography.com/people/barack-obama-12782369?page=1#excelling-in-school
Obama/Dunham marriage license
Miss Dunham, President Obama's mother, worked as contractor, doing
translations for the state department, living out of a suitcase or
foot-locker for several years of her life, she had to quit her job
because she had a fatal case of breast cancer which was fatal because
her insurance company wouldn't cover the remission, claiming it was a
preexisting condition - and she lost the original carrier because the
government changed contracting agencies, and she had to switch to the
new company to keep her job / income.
Obama/Dunham divorce documents
I don't have my parent's divorce documents either, and they were
divorced in 1977. Obama/Dunham were divorced in the early 1960s.
Passport records
Those should be available through the State Department, and homeland
security - but even the State Department doesn't retain records for
40-50 years. If Dunham or Obama were a "person of interest" in a CIA
or FBI investigation, there might have been an extended retention
period. Visas are issued by the countries you are visiting, the
stamps are directly into your passport, and you can replace your
passport, or even get duplicate passports. Once your passport
expires, you're not required to keep it. Given the lack of storage
space and the highly mobile lifestyle, it's no big surprise that the
boxes containing the paper records might have been thrown out during a
day of dilligent house-cleaning. People who don't do this type of
house-cleaning are featured on "Hoarders".
Record of Baptism -- Not released or 'not available'
I don't have mine either. My parents send me some of my old school
pictures, the copy of the birth document provided by the hospital, the
one with the footprints, that is NOT the official birth certificate.
When I ordered an official birth certificate from Colorado I got a
black-and-white print-out of a document printed out using digitally
stored records, just like the ones (hundreds) provided by the State of
Hawaii. Most states don't store the originals, or even pixel-perfect
digital images, because the cost of the storage in this format is
nearly 400 times the cost of storing the electronic records and
regenerating the "Official" documents.
Certified Copy of Original Birth certificate -- Not released
Again, easily lost or thrown away, but esealy replaced with the state
generated copy. Only a few states actually archive accurate digital
IMAGES of these documents, and even those are stored in such low
resolution that they would be very difficult to view or read.
Adoption records
Obama kindergarten records
Do you have you kindergarten records? I don't. I have a single
picture of myself in Kindergarten. Even my school wouldn't have my
records from those days. In fact, I probably wouldn't be able to get
ANY of my elementary school records, or Junior High School records.
My actual grades from high school might be electronically available to
be printed out, and my college was taken over by another University,
who did provide me a copy of my transcript - printed up on a dot
matrix printer on the new school stationary.
Punahou School records
We do know he graduated with Honors - Back in my day that meant at
LEAST a 3.5 (A-) average, and usually being in the top 10% of your
class.
Occidental College records and transcripts -- Not released
Even in his book, Obama admitted he wasn't the best student. He often
focused too much on basketball and not enough on studies. I'm sure he
could get his records. On the other hand, he did well enough to get
accepted to Columbia. And get enough scholarships to meet his
tuition, room, and board needs.
Columbia University records and transcripts -- Not released
In his book, Obama admitted that this was not his most stable period,
that he had done some drugs. As a result, he did not graduate with
distinction or even graduate with honors, but his grades were good
enough to get him into Harvard with a scholarship.
Columbia Thesis paper -- 'not available
A thesis is required for a Master's degree program, not an
undergraduate degree. I wrote a thesis in my undergrad program, my
mentor reviewed it, made comments, suggested rewrites, and kept a copy
for himself, as did some of the other experts I interviewed and had
review the document, but the school itself did not bother to keep
their own copy in their "official archives". Keep in mind that this
was back in the days when we used an electric typewriter, white-out,
and if you could afford it, you paid as much as $200 to have a
professional typist type it up for you. I saved it for about 20
years, but after keeping it in storage for 10 years, I let the storage
company auction the content because I was tired of paying the storage
- about $1500 a year for 10 years - got $600 for the contents that
remained.
Harvard University records and transcripts - Not released
Those should be available through Harvard. I'm sure there are privacy
concerns, but I'm sure that a Harvard Alumni could easily obtain the
records if they wanted to, as could a college student doing works-
study. If there were anything really embarrassing, they would
probably have published it back when he was running for the Senate.
Harvard Law Review articles published -- None
As Editor, he would have published an article in every issue, the
"from the editor" section. Normally, the editor doesn't publish his
own articles, because they want to foster and encourage the
contributions of others. The job of the editor is to maintain the
appearance of being impartial, able to balance liberal and
conservative views, and encourage contributors to verify their facts.
Medical records -- Not released
Most people don't release all of their medical records. Some, when
age or health was a concern, released their most recent medical
records that showed them to be "fit for duty". Medical practitioners
and insurance companies are very aware of how sensitive medical
information should be.
Illinois State Bar Association records
The results of his bar exam would be confidential, even to him.
The activities in the docket would be a matter of public record.
Illinois State Senate schedule -- 'said to be lost'
Some people keep detailed records of every interaction with every
person in some kind of hard copy document, such as a journal or diary.
Obama, being of the younger generation, probably kept records
electronically, on palm pilot, PC, or Lotus Notes. Many things can
happen to such records when they are simply stored on floppies or only
on the local hard drive. A hard drive crash, a re-image, viruses,
worms, and other afflictions can result in the lost of personal data
if not properly archived. If it was archived in formats popular in
1993, such as Colorado Memory Supertape cartridges, it would be nearly
impossible to read them using a modern PC.
Illinois State Senate records -- 'said to be lost'
Those should be a matter of public record, and should be something
that could be easily made available. Some of his liberal critics
claimed that he was too much of a "moderate" - in fact, by Democrat
standards, he's a conservative, and far too willing to give far too
much.
Law practice client list -- Not released
For good legal reasons. Unless an attorney argues a case in court,
most people don't want their legal matters made a matter of public
record, including the activities of their attorney on their behalf.
University of Chicago scholarly articles -- None
<quote>
After law school, Obama returned to Chicago to practice as a civil
rights lawyer, joining the firm of Miner, Barnhill & Galland. He also
taught at the University of Chicago Law School, and helped organize
voter registration drives during Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential
campaign. On October 3, 1992, he and Michelle were married. They moved
to Kenwood, on Chicago's South Side, and welcomed two daughters: Malia
(born 1998) and Sasha (born 2001)

Sounds to me like Obama was busy doing the things that make the
difference in legal issues. He wasn't writing papers and grand-
standing in court, he was writing legal briefs, crafting contracts and
negotiations, and crafting settlements. Most of these types of
activities are done by teams of lawyers and are generally not "signed"
by a single owner. In civil rights cases, it's often more important
to verify the facts, see if the discovery evidence justifies a
settlement, and working out the terms of a settlement. Obama learned
quickly that he could get much more done by letting OTHERS do the
grandstanding. This was often how he operated in both Illinois Senate
and in the U.S. Senate. He also figured out that the best way to get
something BLOCKED is to let the his opponents know that he SUPPORTED
it.
As a community organizer, Obama didn't run a company, or even multiple
companies, but because he was not "competition", "client", or "vendor"
was able to get lots of different companies to cooperate and do things
that even a corporate CEO as big as Bill Gates could not accomplish.
