Which state law? What are you talking about? I would ask about the
"rammed" part, but obviously you are lying (as usual). If you are
talking about killing an unborn child, point to that "right" in
our constitution.

So you aren't knowledgeable enough about C-SPAN to know whether
they have ever prohibited men from commenting on the subject of a
call-in program? I am familiar with C-SPAN, I don't recall that
happening before.

Liberals objected to what they said were not enough women being allowed
to testify at a recent House committee hearing on mandated insurance
coverage of birth control. Had Democrats controlled the committee, I'm
sure they would prohibited men from speaking.

Anyway, it's pathetic that Democrats are trying to make the "Violence
Against Women" Act a campaign issue. If the law is not renewed, does
this mean assaulting women becomes legal? Of course not, but this is
what they are implying. The law is also unconstitutional, violating the
14th Amendment's guarantee of EQUAL protection of the law. Men are not
included in the Violence Against Women act, and there is no corresponding
Violence Against Men Act.

A quick search reveals that Republican opposition to renewal of VAWA
stems from Democrats' attempt to include same-sex couples. As a gay man
myself, I find it bizarre that gays who demand marriage "equality" would
expect preferential treatment in their marital disputes. I'm not even
sure how this would work, with two MEN getting into a fight and each one
trying to sue the other under the Violence Against WOMEN law.

There is no way that our founders intended government to strip men
of their natural greater physical ability and authority in
marriage. But apparently the 14th amendment ended up doing that. A
way around that would have been to provide a distinction between
marriage and state, so that a wife and children would not be
within government jurisdiction.

Democracy is great until its filthy hands reach beyond the head of
household.

And now thanks to the Internet, kids are going to be unbelievably
intelligent. And with more than enough nuclear weapons to destroy
the world several times over, we will be too big to fail. So we
will find some way out of any mess ever-expanding government gets
us into...

Travesty's Church of an Ever Expanding Government uses police
officers with billy clubs and guns to keep order everywhere else
in society, even for stifling speech. But cannibal-left liberals
like Travesty dictate that marriage must be a fairy tale happily
ever after relationship. Or else government will force it to be
that way. How ironic.

It's called "legislating morality". But they only enforce the
morality that is politically correct for themselves. They don't

Barf all you want. I'm the one arguing that giving gays special status
under VAWA contradicts their demands for marriage equality.

But I feel I must amend my earlier statement, where I said that gay
rights advocates were behind the attempt to expand VAWA to cover same-sex
couples. What I see is an attempt by Democrats to exploit gays by
including the provision, knowing that Republican opposition to it will
allow them to brand them as "homophobic" and especially "anti-women."

Including same-sex couples in VAWA is absurd and does nothing to protect
gay rights, and actually harms them by making it appear gays want special
rights. Either gays and their personal relationships are equal to
everyone else, or they are not. Democrats can exploit gays this way
because they know most members of the gay community are too high on crack
to notice the contradiction, and will vote for them anyway even if they
do notice.

I personally believe that the government has no business recognizing
personal relationships. Marriage "equality" means getting the government
out of the marriage business completely, and letting religious and
secular markets determine what "marriage" is.

Leftarded gays shot themselves in the foot when they decided to protest
Proposition 8 by insulting the polygamous faction of Mormons. Actually,
it was the ANTI-polygamous LDS faction that supported Proposition 8,
because it feared that legalization of same-sex marriage would set a
precedent for legalization of polygamy. The "mainstream" LDS faction's
moral superiority over the FLDS stems from the fact that polygamy is
illegal, keeping the polygamous FLDS on the fringes of Utah society.

If polygamy were legalized, the moral superiority of the LDS would
evaporate, leading to a theological battle where the "heretical" FLDS
would try to reclaim its title as the true heir of Joseph Smith and his
teachings. Blah blah blah, but now you see why the "mainstream" Mormon
church is so hellbent on opposing same-sex marriage.

The simple solution is to ban government recognition of ALL types of
marriage. Consenting adults of any gender and number should be allowed
to form relationships of their choosing and describe them with whatever
words they want, but it is none of the government's business.

"Marriage" is a generic term, but churches could trademark terms for
their version of marriage, such as "Catholic Married" (no divorce
permitted), "Episcopalian Married" (divorce only permitted after wife's
head is cut off), or "United Church of Christ Married" (divorce mandated
after spouse renounces Barack Obama as his/her personal savior).
