Just because both he and his creator are no longer with us, doesn't mean we can't continue to discuss him (them). Think of Shakespeare and Sherlock!

I am replying to my old post of 2014 to try to revive the Rumpole group, now that there are so many narrations and dramatizations available on Audible and Audiobooks. There are many narrated by Leo McKern, the original Rumpole, and for whom John Mortimer created the character, and others which are extremely good, narrated by JOhn Wallis and John Hardy. There are also good dramatizations, although I found the Teenaged werewolf series of stories to be severely edited and badly directed, dead on arrival. But there are probably other far better narrations and dramatizations of the same stories.

Much good listening awaits.
