Mental illness is primarily the inability to cope with the insanity of
this world.

This certainly explains it all, doesn't it?

Wasn't it confucious who said that the only thing that seperates one
man from the other is "experience and education."

I disagree that 'mental illness' is primarily the inability to cope
with the insanity
of this world' as you state because it is such a general mis-
conception held on
the conscious cognitive construct of an outsider looking in. The
coping mechanisms
made available to those who struggle with down-time (depression) and
become
confused in up-time (mania) are not conducive to maturing just masking
the
inner problem.

Yes Confucious said this but how many people actually follow that good
advice ?
If experience and education provide growth then why are so many people
apt to
deny growth by taking medication or seeing a psychotherapist ? They
want answers
but are afraid to seek from themself therefore creating a dependence
on a drug or
a person other than themself, to fix things wrong in their life. Its a
cycle that is both
restraining and augmenting . . .
