On Wednesday’s Mark Levin show, President Trump was channeling
Ronald Reagan with his nuclear button tweet aimed at North Korean
dictator Kim Jong Un. Trump’s tweet was just like Reagan in 1984
when he joked, “I’m pleased to tell you today that I’ve signed
legislation that will outlaw Russia forever. We begin bombing in
five minutes.” Reagan was sending a message to the Soviets, just as
Trump was sending one to North Korea. He was sending a clear warning
to the communist regime – don’t threaten us with your button because
we’ve got a button, too. And we don’t even have to test our missiles
anymore; we just know they’re very precise. Now the left is coming
out and saying Trump is demented and out of control. There was
nothing wrong with Trump’s tweet and it is in keeping with
successful presidents of the past. Trump has handled diplomacy
beautifully and he is not an appeaser like Barack Obama was. In
addition, we have a president who is supporting the citizens of Iran
against their fascist leaders. This is the same government that
persecutes its citizens, throws gays off tops of buildings and
persecutes Christians. The reaction by Trump on Iran is exactly the
right reaction. Trump has made it clear that the US supports the
protests and that his words on Iran will be backed with action.
Later, Omri Ceren, Managing Director at the Israel Project calls in
to talk about taking on the Iranian regime. The Iran Deal shredded a
bunch of our non-nuclear sanctions. John Kerry and the rest of the
Obama administration redefined the way our sanctions against Iran
worked. To sell the Iran deal, they went after our allies and
empowered a country that captured our sailors. It is ridiculous to
say that the Obama Administration is not responsible for what is
going on in Iran. They don’t want Trump to show that the reason
Obama and his underlings got rid of the sanctions was so they could
have their deal. Finally, it’s not impressive for Steve Bannon to be
sitting down, talking with a leftist and bashing Trump. Why is
Bannon talking to a leftist Michael Wolff who is writing a book
about Trump for the purpose of hurting him? It doesn’t help the
cause of the American people, the country and liberty.
