Say what you like about Brinner's movie reviews (and I do), they're
the only non-statistic thing in the, uh, statistics.

Yeah, there's nothing. Even the impending arrival of the Next Book
hasn't spurred activity. And I am yet to take the final steps in
getting our website back up and running so the Next Book Inn can get
its long-awaited update.

It's understandable. Especially after you've spent all day at work, to
come home and do stuff that won't even get much of a reception by
anyone except a few select people can seem just...like not the most
exciting of prospects.

FreeAgent says there's something like 100 + new posts. Yeek. Will see
what I can do about making it 101. It's good to see GRRM's fanboys are

We do what we can. It's just the sort of place where people aren't
coming anymore, and the people who are here are getting fewer and

And yet it's these alternatives that are so wildly popular, when
they're the least flexible, the most crippled in design, and the most
utterly annoying and obnoxious in their ability to get in the way of
communication by interrupting text with annoying pictures, flashing

Still, hopefully there's no profit in killing Google Groups and usenet
entirely. Not while there are still posts turning up, every month. Er,
every couple of months.

Google Groups correctly; for example, even Advanced Search currently refuses to
admit that anything after 1993 exists in a.r.k ...

Not sure what group that is, but that search thing has always been
buggy and Google Groups has always been a bit of a pain.
Should see it trying to handle the Welcome Back Contro Party Thread.
Now there's some fun. Even Freeagent has some trouble with that puppy.
