Using cable modem's technical diagnostics readings...

Hello.

I was just wondering. Are the numbers in cable modem's technical web
pages, on http://192.168.100.1/, similiar to the ones that TWC people
use? Are they also valid to diagnose for non-Internet cable issues (TV
and digital phone) beside the Internet?

It will give you depending on you're modem model the signal level screen
that is helpful for trouble shooting problems.
but not all modems will allow you to access that screen as the ISP aka
time Warner cable disables that feature on many of its newer modems.
to try to prevent unnecessary tech support calls.

Wow, that's lame on newer modems. Another reason to get your own modems
which I plan to do later on.

Exactly why i went out and got Motorola's top of the line modem and
wireless router all in one best 130 bucks i ever spent:)
