The Latest From RR Concerning E-mail Issues?

Posted April 6, 2001, 2:00 pm Beginning at 12:01 am on 4/8/01, Road Runner
engineers at the Regional Data Center will begin Phase 1 of the necessary
email maintenance. The maintenance window will last through 7:00 am. During
this time there will be periods when email will not be accessible. (My
note: What are they talking about... E-mail is ALREADY unavailable!)

If at all possible, avoid checking for and sending mail during this window.
Checking mail during this time will result in no new messages, and sent mail
will be stored for future delivery. After this first phase of maintenance,
performance increases should be noticed. Additional maintenance
windows/phases will be scheduled after this initial phase is complete.

Future maintenance windows (unless of an emergency nature) will take place
in the same time frame until all necessary upgrades can be completed. All
work should be completed within 7-10 days, but performance gains should be
seen with each subsequent phase.

I made a bid for an item on eBay a few days ago. The auction ends in
a few days. Thank goodness I still have my AOL email address, because if I
listed my RR address, I would never be able to communicate with the seller
if I won.

I've made several bids and made several attempts to send email through an
alternate account. But still don't know whats going on. But then again RR
says that the email is NOT down. They obviously are on a different network
and getting all their emails!!!
