Others have pointed out that RemarQ did this first (shame, shame on
you, deja.com! first you fuck up the IPO, now this). What's really
missing here, though, is some selfrighteous deja.com engineering twink
defending both the technology and the decision to use it. Double
shame on you!

That reminds me. Whatever happened to Canter & Siegel? I've
barely heard any mention of them in years, but it used to be
that you couldn't pace through any part of Usenet without
tripping over someone's invective aimed at them.
