What *IS* "Red Green"?
======================

Red Green is a fictional character is a TV series called "The RED GREEN
show", featuring Red Green himself. The show is best described as a "North
Woods comedy". The format of the show includes stories, skits, poems, and
songs. Most segments are usually a few minutes long. The humor found in
the show is usually very dry and subtle. Usually.

OK, OK. Then WHO is Red Green?
==============================

Red Green is played by Steve Smith. Look further on for the complete list
of characters.

Where does "Red Green" come from?
=================================

The Red Green show comes from Canada, and originally only aired there. It
is now in syndication, and is found in many US cities, mostly on PBS
stations. The bulk of the cast is composed of actors from another late night
(canadian) "comedy" show in which RG and his wife starred, Smith &
Smith. Smith & Smith was NOT well received and died a very slow and
painful death (the wife just was NOT funny.). The man who plays the Stir
Crazy Fire Ranger { } used to be on a Canadian Talk/News Show on CBC.
RG's nephew, Harold, was on Smith & Smith and did not have such a nerdy
appearance. One of the lodge members, the used car salesman, does
commercials for a Lottery in Atlantic Canada, Atlantic Lotto.

Where does the Red Green Show take place?
=========================================

The show is situated in a fictional place called "Possum Lodge", which is up
in the North Woods somewhere, near "Possum Lake". During the course of
the show, you can typically hear the far-away sound of chainsaws in the
background.
