Chapter and verse, please.
Apparently Dana Tweedy has never read the book of Matthew. With this
ignorance abounding one wonders as to how anyone could trust anything
he has to say about the Bible. His claims that the Bible isn't to be
taken literally, etc, are all speculative. He hasn't read the Bible
cover to cover so he must have read books written by angry skeptics
about the Bible.

Where is there a "forbidding of marriage"? Priests have been
supposed to
be celabate since the Middle Ages.

That must have hurt....

Where?

Keep your mother out of this....

Rather large woman.....

Hmmmmm Elizabeth Taylor?

Oh, so it's about daylight savings time now?

So?

Protestant churches have killed heretics too. Not only do you show
yourself to be stupid, but a bigot as well.

Apparenlty McMoron can't provide the chapter and vese requested.

If I'm the ignorant one, why can't you provide the chapter and verse?

Wrong. The Bible was never meant to be taken as literal history, or
science. I never stated or claimed anything about "speculative".

Again, if I'm ignorant about the Bible, why are you unable to give chapter
and verse?

I've never read "Mein Kampf" cover-to-cover; why should someone
read an evil demon-inspired book cover-to-cover?

Prison for Rove, Hell for Bush2!
Matthew 23:9 "And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is
your Father, which is in heaven."
The verse that precedes this one states "But be not ye called Rabbi:
for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren."
The context seems to have something to do with pride of positional
authority when there is only one *real* authority. Matthew itself
contains a number of references to the term 'father' as a relative.
Of course this is the same gospel that says concerning becoming a
eunuch for the kingdom of heaven's sake "He that is able to receive
it, let him receive it."
I provided the chapter and the verse the day before yesterday. My post
was deleted. Apparently my answer to you was to good to be true. The
fact is you haven't read the Bible.
Matthew 23:9.
What you are doing is immoral. You can't make claims about the Bible
unless you have read the entire thing and have studied it thoroughly.
Why are you reading skeptic opinions in regard to the Bible rather
than taking the time to study it for yourself?
JM
McNumbskull,
While your subject line may be accurate that's only because you can't read
scrolls cover to cover. 8-}
Carry on, McLaughingstock.
