I have noticed that my sims my always, and I mean ALWAYS autonomously make themselves a cup of coffee, even when I am trying to get them to go to work or take care of their children. It is a pain so I don't even give them one anymore but I am a big sims builder and love having a little coffee nook in the kitchen. Just wondering if anyone else has this problem...
sims 4 no autonomous drink

can't think of much else to add. more often than not, drinks are left on the bar until they spoil. happens when Sims prepare them on their own or are directed to it. their needs levels don't seem to make a difference. what they leave the drink for can be anything, or they might just stand there behind the bar. happens with autonomy on and off.
I'm not sure about placing another bar, i never tried the other but this one i have is quite often used by my household. "Future Furniture Star Bar" (From 'Get Together'). I also put the same thing on another family, they did the same thing: Mix, and left it (the drink) until spoiled. I just put another bar, it seems everything back to normal. They won't touch it unless i clicked the bar (I'm starting to suspect the Future Furniture" i mentioned earlier.)
So many of these things I didn't realize were bugs? My household doesn't drink water excessively as I have autonomy off, but every time a guest with an apartment key comes over all they do is drink water constantly and leave a ton of glasses everywhere if that's part of the same issue.
I understand that they should look for the cause of the issues. But right now nobody benefits from autonomous water drinking and mixing. I dont see how disabling these particular autonomous actions has negative effects on the game. People could still command their sims to do it. My sims never tend the garden on their own. I can command them to do it just fine. Same with many other activities my sims never do on their own.
I'm constantly having to cancel this action if I notice it, but I often play large families and when I'm concentrating on one Sim taking care of a Toddler, all the other Sims in the house will drink water as soon as I turn my back on them! One would think the water was bacon flavored they way they act! LOL
I've noticed the mixing of drinks as well, but this isn't as much of a problem since Children can't use the bar, and many of my houses don't have a bar to begin with ... but they ALL have sinks!
SimGuruNick , what is the best way of going about sharing a save file with you ? (Some of us are not tech savvy ). Also, does it matter what save file, or do we need to save the game while they are in the act of drinking water? Thank you!
You can get rid of this with the MC command mod. It disables things like washing hands, getting water, mixing drinks and more. You can still order your sims to do them manually but they wont do all that by themself anylonger.
I've got this problem as well. Sims always mixing drinks and then leaving them on the bar to spoil. Sims drinking water when they visit the apartment and leaving the glass out to spoil (who would've thought that *water* could spoil? After an apartment visit, just about every flat surface in the apartment has glasses all over it!
I've never had Sim stop what they were doing to go get a drink as reported by Felicat82 I wonder if your actions are cancelling prematurely and then the game fills in with a trip to the water fountain?
MC Command Center is one I've been using ever since I discovered it (we're talking years here), and it has only ever fixed issues, never caused any. I can attest to its safety and ease of use. Anyway, this is still happening in my game, too, and now I also have vampires obsessed with water consumption. I guess I'll fiddle with MCC and turn it off, though it is kinda cool when sims just decide to mix a drink-as long as they're not dropping a commanded action to do so! Edit: I suppose it is possible that the game is just choosing a filler action, never thought of that. I'll try disabling it via MCC and see what happens.
Omg the water drinking and continiously mixing drinks is so annoying! I wish you could turn it off. Good thing they don't get drinks from the fridge anymore. I can't use mods in my Dynasty Challenge file, but otherwise I would use it in an instant.
Install this package to stop Sims with the Mixology Skill from autonomously crafting or serving drinks at a bar or with a bar object. This does not stop your Sim from making drinks when directed to. This was a request.
Install this package to stop your Sims from autonomously talking to any kind of planted plants whether they be standard garden plants, oversized garden plants, or vertical wall plants. This was a request.
Stop most of your Sims from their bad habits and keep them from autonomously farting and burping! Now they will only do it when you tell them to! Sims that will still burp and fart are those with the following traits: Slob, Glutton, and Goofball.
You are probably correct. The game is always going to push them to do something. If you have a no autonomous mod for "A", "B", and "C" the game with push them to do "D". That's why folks with a large number of no autonomous mods see a lot of behavior autonomously that the rest of us don't.
If it is within 8 hours of a sim's wake time, the sim will not drink caffeinated beverages. Wake time is determined by sleepclock (if one is found) or defaults to 6 am (if sleepclock is not installed or one is not assigned to that sim). Sims will be allowed to caffeinate if there are no free beds.
Night Time Visits and Drink Uncontrollably
This does not allow for unlimited drinks from Pregnant sims.
This does not allow for Vampires to drink from Pregnant sims.
You need to use the Vampires Drink Pregnant Sims Add-On if you want this for Pregnant sims
This sounds incredible, but I do have a question related to autonomous turning for evil/mean/hot-headed vampires. I could imagine a hot-headed vampire to change another Sim on a whim, I could also imagine it with a mean Sim if the other Sim somehow insulted or looked down on vampires. And I could imagine it with evil Sims for vampire legacies or armies, but I think it would make more sense for evil Sims to turn the Sims they actually get along with. Vampirism will mean those Sims will be pretty much immortal if they survive the changing and that means you may be stuck with them. Do evil vampires prefer deep drinking from disliked Sims over turning them to reflect something like this?
Makes sims check on toddlers less. Toddlers can be fed a bottle of milk without needing a highchair nearby now. The fastertoddlercare module stops Sims from first asking their toddler before they do an interaction (like put to bed, change diaper). There will only be a discussion beforehand if the toddler is not okay with what the Sim wants to do.
Don't install the main module on its own, always install the givemilk package in addition. If you have no interest in the main mod package, you can totally install the other two modules (fastertoddlercare, givemilk) on their own.
Sims will prefer the shower over taking a bath in most cases. The bubble bath will only be chosen autonomously by kids, goofballs, childish an pregnant Sims. The special baths that came with Spa Day are reserved to be autonomously chosen at the relaxation center and will no longer be chosen by your party guests and other visitors.
Adds additional tests to prevent Sims from using umbrellas indoors. Sims will not (autonomously) use umbrellas in light rain or during a storm. They will get wet less fast in light rain. They will receive less strong negative moodlets from getting wet and no water will drop from their clothes when they are wet.
Makes share big news an autonomous interaction. Sims will be able to share big news if they have the positive moodlet from learning about a pregnancy. Works best in coordination with my familymatters-Mod.
Sims will only choose to autonomously put a toddler out of the highchair if the toddler already has the hidden 'left behind in highchair' buff. This should make it easier for your toddler to finish their meal before they are taken out by the next fool.
Please note that high chair interactions are also heavily triggered by the check on toddler interactions. So for best results, you should absolutely consider to install my lessautonomouscheckontoddler mod in addition to this one.
Disables the random notifications that Sims you don't actively play discovered a new fish species. The second mod included in the package (noautonomousresearchplant) gets rid of the respective problem with gardening socials.
This mod deals with the new neighborhoodstories (NS) feature.
There's a separate module for each NS feature. Only choose 1 file for each feature, but you can totally mix and match different types of solutions for different features (e.g. disable one feature, just fix another and restrict another feature to never played sims).
For each call based feature, you can choose ONE of the following files:
disabled: Will get rid of the feature completely
justfixed: Will just fix wonky features like toddlers receiving calls or your significant other calling to tell you they found a ring in your bag.
onlyneverplayedsims: Only Sims you have never played will eligible for the NS feature. (Feature fixes are already included in that one.)
For each of the new socials, you can choose ONE of the following files:
disabled: Will get rid of the social completely
actions: The social will be shifted to the "actions" tab so you won't accidentally click it.
Sims will no longer autonomously play in ponds. There's a version where Sims will go in the pond with naked feet (requires the WellnessGP) and another version where they will autonomously play in ponds but with naked feet only (also requires the WellnessGP).
