"hello, welcome" is an introduction to the newsgroup, alt.fan.pratchett,
and to the world of newsgroups more generally, that may be of use even
to relatively hoary older hands, from time to time, that is autoposted
to alt.fan.pratchett lunar monthly, usually on saturdays (or sundays),
by myself (ppint.).

it's long, but it does explain many of the things you may not have met
before, if you're new to afp, or to the 'net; or an older hand, who's
never before needed to cancel an article they've posted to a newsgroup
in error, for example; and you may find reading it helpful.

this meta-FAQ is autoposted to alt.fan.pratchett, weekly.

if you wish to e-mail me regarding it, please use the e-address,
"agpfaq" at my domain, "i-m-t.demon.co.uk", as the from: e-address
in the headerlines and "afpfaq@", both of which n.b. are valid and
do exist, are now set up to *not* *accept* mail).
