What is Jingo? So far all I know is that it is Terrys newest book and
that it has something to do with a war between Ankh and Klatch.
Can anyone elaborate a bit more?

female gorilla suit (come to think of it, how do you tell) looking
very worried when a real male gorilla is put into the cage. (Now which

I didn't mean that, though on looking at my original post I can see that
it would be easy to read it that way. What I meant was that, as a woman,
the thought of Corporal Nobbes coming to terms with his *heterosexual*
identity made me shudder. If it turns out he fancies men (or werewolves
{grin} or hedgehogs or paper bags) then I should feel a sense of enormous
relief.

What may have happened (I can't be sure because I didn't see the
original post...) is that Terry may not have uploaded the message until
quite a while after Sun, 2 Feb 1997.
For example, I may not upload this message until tomorrow evening, but
the Time/Date will still say something like 07:09 GMT 11 February 1997.
The reason for this is that many systems using offline readers create a
date appropriate at the time of message creation. Some newsservers will
overwrite that at the time of uploading, but Demon's don't.

Much as I am loathe to remember, Trading Places *was* released 14 years ago.

of time trying to make this document a useful resource for fans of Terry
Pratchett's work, and I would be delighted to see the APF reach as many of
those fans as possible, period.
So feel free to distribute the APF among your friends, to mail copies to
your colleagues, or to put it up on bulletin boards, archive sites or
whatever other advanced means of communication you have available to you.
All I ask is that you (a) only distribute the APF for free, and in its
entirety (for obvious reasons, I should hope), and (b) *let me know* if
you put it up for permanent retrieval somewhere, e.g. a bulletin board or
archive site, so that I can keep you personally informed of new versions
as they get released. Don't you just hate those archive sites that store
outdated versions of files?
