I applied for a role of senior analyst that requires advanced excel and SQL knowledge. I have to present a technical document of my skill set. Has anyone done something similar and how should I present it? I've only learnt SQL on codecademy do you think this will be enough? I've saved all the code I used so could just give them that?

I need help in importing test cases from excel to TFS [Version 14.102.25423.0]. As we have to write thousands of old test cases in TFS which seems to be very time consuming task. I've already tried using- Test Case Migrator Plus. But its not working bcz of-TCMP has stopped working error. I'm unable to find solution for this error. Also there is no alternative I could find for same on Google.I have also tried using Team Addin for excel but this gives option of importing Data from TFS to Excel but not vise versa. So Plz let me know if anybody knows any solution or any otheralternative for getting this done. Thanks in Advance!Note: I've Visual Studio 2015 installed on my VM with Windows 7.

I am trying to find differentially expressed genes in microarray data. I preferred to do this using excel because I did not know how to do it in R (performing large number of t-tests simultaneously). After performing t-test in excel and obtaining p-values, I try t-test for a few number of rows in R, but the results of R and Excel are not the same.

The thing is, in our case that test returns TRUE. So excel thinks those two values match when asked directly, but when asked if D5 matches any value in a range that includes 'Per payment&sub'!D12 ('Per payment&sub'!D$8:'Per payment&sub'!D$394 as per the above VLOOKUP) it wants to tell me no.

Also - after fixing the formulas in the file as uploaded (in column G - nothing that affects the outcome, I just missed the $s in the Range section - but since the corresponding value in the range is always on the same row as the search key cell or below the range being searched always still has the matching value in it), I'm now noticing an excel warning:

Update (final): Still don't know what caused the issue, but copy-pasting from excel into word and then back appears to have fixed it, so it would seem there was some kind of metadata with those values in the original spreadsheet that was stuffing things up. While the answer below didn't include anything that solved the problem directly, it was correct to suggest that this might be the problem and as such has been accepted.

I'm using SoapUI Pro 4.5.2; I've got simple data in an excel spreadsheet that is getting used by a test loop, so far so good. But often, after I've run a test in SoapUI, if I change data in the spreadsheet and attempt to save it, Excel says it cannot due to a sharing violation, forces change to another spreadsheet, etc., etc. Very messy. Sometime later, due to passage of time or attempts to close it or whatever, it straightens itself out, but it's aggravating (because I can't tell when it's ok to save).

I tried importing test cases as per your suggestion by providing exact email address and display name but still I could not succeed in importing excel test cases into PratciTest. I am attaching the template for your reference.

If the excel has column A with test case name then in PractiTest provide A under Name field

If the excel has column C with test case description then in PractiTest provide C under Description field

We have come up with a FREE spreadsheet which details exactly how to calculate statistical significance in an excel. You just need to provide the number of visitors and conversions for control and variations. The excel calculator automatically shows you the significance, p-value, z-value and other relevant metrics for any kind of A/B split testing (including Adwords). And, to add to our article on the mathematics of A/B testing and free A/B test statistical significance calculator, we share the A/B testing significance formula in excel for calculating test result significance.

Sometimes the need for execute test cases without connection to the Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS). This extension lets you export your planed test cases to an excel file. With the Excel file, you can mark test cases as passed or failed in an offline environment, and the use the tool to import the outcome back to the test plan.
