My family is about to acquire a new dog... Now that the 70's are in
again I've been lobbying to call her after one of the flumps. However,
apart from Pootle and Perkin (and Grandpa Flump and his Flumpet) I can't
think of any of the others.
A search of the Web has proved Flumpless - the only people who talk
about the flumps are this news group and (inexlicably) the Hanson
newsgroup.
So if your memory stretches back that far, please could you post the
name of the flumps on this group or to me.
Yours,
Christian
PS. Hours of staring out of the window trying to remember their names
has uncovered one piece of complete trivia: The narrator of the Flumps
was a lady called Gay Soper I think. Amazing what people remember...

After a search in AltaVista I found Pootle, Perkin, Posie, Grandpa,
mother flump and father flump.

"I tried to do a signature, but my pen
kept sliding off the screen..."
Is this a proper [A]nnotation, I wonder. In Pyramids, Teppic's father
Teppicymon IV, when he was very young and couldn't pronounce Ephebian or
Djelibeybian very well, was called "Pootle" by his grandmother, whom he
called "Pooney".
Out of common decency I will forbear to speculate on what "Pooney" might
be annotated to. This is a family newsgroup, after all.
