27 Feb 1995 -- A release date for the Discworld game is finally given.

From: Ch...@scrofula.demon.co.uk (Chris Hopkin)
Subject: Discworld game for PC, release info
Date: Mon, 27 Feb 1995 07:34:21 +0000
I spoke to Psygnosis about their imminent release of an adventure game
based on the discworld series.
It will be released on 17th March on two formats;
Floppy disk, 44.99
CD-ROM, 49.99
===========================================================================
A.f.p. is enthousiastic about the game (less so about the buggy
implementation), and inevitably, pretty soon, the familiar, ancient Usenet
cycle begins all over again.

Okay. To get the walkthrough, you have to take the sponge from Nanny

take the lumps and put them in the pouch with the zombie's razor.

I don't know why I'm so touchy about trivialities lately, but I wish

Perhaps. Probably. It was not a conscious decision to leave it out -- I
just forgot.
In all honesty I must say, though, that I think it's quite likely that the
(entirely) *subconscious* reason for my forgetting this, is that I loathe
and these days therefore killfile purity-discussions on sight. To me,
purity threads are simply *not* part of what made a.f.p. such a fun
newsgroup.
Mind you, neither were Matthew Buchannan, or the drinking-game followups,
or the endless movie-casting threads; but those were all things that
happened a relatively long time ago, and by now the sands of time have done
their eroding work and somehow turned those less stellar episodes of a.f.p.
history into smile-evoking memories from the Good Old Days.
Purity-discussions, on the other hand, are still very much with us, and at
the moment I would be hard pressed to think of a category of a.f.p. threads
I despise more. I don't *want* to write about Purity Tests!
Grumpily yours,

I agree, and once I got far enough it was fun reading about something
and suddenly thinking, "I remember that!"[1] Only one question--is
there anything past Jan 1993? I've only received two parts (not
counting the intro), so if there *is* more and I don't get it in the
next week or so, I'd like to know that bugging Leo about getting a copy
emailed wouldn't be pointless. :)

No doubt about it. I fear some may have gotten the impression I was being
