Granted, this comes from a KWB news release, but the combination of FK
being a lame-duck proposition and it being an all-rerun Digi-thon resulted in
sheer disaster in the ratings.

On top of that, it doesn't bode well for the premieres of PRWF and Galidor
this week, since there's always a bit of momentum (good or bad) from week to
week.

Here's the lead paragraph of KWB's release:

--------------------

BURBANK, CA -- On Saturday, February 2, Kids' WB! dominated the first
Saturday morning of the highly-competitive February sweep ratings period
among all competition in Boys 6-11 (4.9/21), taking six of the top 10 program
spots. The network topped the broadcast competition to rank #1 among Kids
2-11 (2.8/12), Kids 6-11 (3.8/17), Boys 2-11 (3.7/15) and Girls 6-11
(2.7/12). Among Kids 2-11, Kids' WB! outperformed ABC (2.5/11), CBS (1.9/8)
and Fox Kids (1.7/7).

But don't PR premieres always get good ratings?

Notice, they didn't say WHAT numbers they took. There's 4 spots in the top ten
unaccounted for.

They only list their competitors in the section they likely performed worst.
For all we know, FK came in really close during Boys 2-11 or Girls 6-11. This
is pure spin, trying to make themselves look big. I expect Fox to do the same
for FK this weekend, giving Warner a taste of their own word-twisting medicine.

Fox Kids Number 1 in Universe! Dominates Mars and Saturn ratings for week of
February 9-31!

Spin or not, I view Kids 2-11 as the most important demographic. It's
like winning Best Picture while all the others are like winning Best
Sound Editing. I don't recall the last time FK finished dead last in
such a key demo.

Regardless of the messenger, the news is the same.

This has to be the saddest thing ever. I never thought I'd see the day where
CBS would beat FK......Well, at least we don't have to worry about any more
Digithons. FK would be pretty dumb to do another one after this.

"Monkey clown horrible (karate) round and yummy, like a cute baby chick,
would beat the donkey." Excerpt from "Jimmy James: Macho Business Donkey

When I said my quarters were cold, I did not mean "Oh, I think it is a
little chilly in here. Perhaps I'll throw a blanket on the bed." No! I said
it was cold! As in, "Oh look - my left arm has snapped off like an icicle
and shattered on the floor!" - Londo

Stop. Think. Rewind.

This is Fox Kids we're talking about. I bet they'll have at least 1 or
2 more before fall. Why? Because they're run by morons.

Yeah. We had a big, climactic battle in the heart of the sun where the Glass
dissipated and I claimed the entirety of the Green Lantern powers making me
akin to God. I need to wait a few issues- I mean, months to see how it plays
out though...
