Hotel staffers reportedly had to break up a fight between the late “Power
Rangers” star Jason David Frank and his wife, Tammie, who filed for divorce
just a few months earlier in August.

According to a report from the entertainment site TMZ, Frank and his wife had
checked into a Texas hotel — where they had separate rooms — and got into a
heated argument in Tammie’s room sometime after they arrived. Hotel staffers
were called to help de-escalate the situation, after which the two went back
to their own rooms.

They reportedly began arguing again — either late Friday night or in the very
early hours of Saturday morning — at which point Frank locked Tammie out of
his room and apparently stopped responding.

Around 5 a.m., she called police and asked them to make sure he was all right
— but when they couldn’t make contact with the actor either, hotel staff
opened the door and let them into the room. They discovered that Frank, 49,
had hanged himself in the bathroom, according to the outlet.

Frank was most famous for his role as Tommy Oliver — the green and white
ranger in “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” — and leaves behind four children in
addition to Tammie.

Despite their recent troubles, Tammie shared several photos and a sweet
tribute to her husband on Instagram.

“The loss of my soulmate. Jason, I can’t go on without you! You are my world!
Yes we had our struggles like any marriage. But months ago we both agreed it
was worth saving,” Tammie’s caption read.

“Deep conversations, vulnerability, forgiveness on both our parts. I am
deeply lost, hurt and utterly destroyed. I lost my one and only true love. I
am your forever ‘Firecracker’ baby … till we’re together again,” she said.

“Jase, you were beautiful and truly unique,” co-star and on-screen love
interest Amy Jo Johnson said upon learning of his death. “My life just won’t
be the same without your frenetic, hilarious, caring, driven and creative
ball of energy. I will always love you, dear friend. Please Rest now In Peace
…”
