Old time radio annoiuncer Art Gilmore, who was the announcer for Jay
Santos's favorite TV show, a.k.a. the source of his theme, "Highway
Patrol" [1955-1959/syndication] and on many radio nand TV shows, and
movie announcer for trailer, has died as of last month of so. Known
relavent to Phil Hendrie fans as the one who in the late fifties
intoned "Whenever the laws of any state are broken, a duly authorized
force moves in...it might be called the rangers, the militia, or the
Highway Patrol." with Phil as Jay Santos subsituting "..Or the
Citizens' Auxiliary police", much to humorous effect.

Art Gilmore was 92 years old. Also announced the 1958-59 Huckleberry
Hound show open and end.
