Kato -- The original name of the white Akita owned by Nicole and her two
children that became known across the country as "the barking dog," after the
murder story broke. The dog's name was later changed to "Satchmo,"
reportedly to help avoid confusion with its shaggy-haired human namesake, who
was first a longtime house guest(*) of Nicole, and later of O.J. After the
slayings O.J.'s oldest son, Jason, is said to have taken the dog. Breeders
of the animals, which were originally bred in the northern Japanese
prefecture of Akita, say they are excellent watchdogs and could be expected
to fight furiously to protect their masters (or mistresses) from attacks by
strangers(**).

Actually, the dog "Kato" now resides in Monarch Bay with the Browns. (See
article in OJ Cental titled "The Children, One Year Later"). He (the dog) also
doesn't like to visit the cemetary where Nicole is buried, according to Judita
Brown.

the article describes kaelin as a 'long time' guest, but the fact is he
knew nicole for only the last 18 months of her life, and lived in her
guest house at gretna green for one year. his $500 monthly rent was
reduced by baby sitting for nicole, but no testimony as to exactly how
much money this entailed was ever offered.

the akita is also known as a very quiet dog, not prone to bark unless
there is very good reason for it. robert heidstra's story seems to
indicate the dog was barking while goldman was still alive, and the
blood patterns indicate goldman fought in the enclosed area before the
large pool of nicole's blood had formed. together, these 'facts' would
indicate a stranger was already in the yard when goldman arrived.

the nature of the akita would allow it to bite even a familiar person in
a case of its prime care taker being attacked. the fact no one was ever
found with a dog bite suggests either the akita was leashed or shut out
of the yard when heidstra heard it bark. heidstra said he cut down a
different path BECAUSE THE DOG SOUNDED AS IF IT WERE LOOSE IN THE
STREET.

when asked if he had any tasks to perform as part of his terms for
living at rockingham, during the preliminary hearing kaelin said he
sometimes fed 'the dogs.' for the akita, the person who feeds it is
considered the primary care taker.

Since he "paid" Nicole for staying in quarters outside her immediate home,
Brian Kaelin should never be referred to as a "guest" in the first place.

True. So what? This means he killed Nicole?

And that "stranger" is Brian Kaelin?

Are you saying Nicole was the Akita's prime care taker?

"the dogS"? He fed the old dog, Chachi-something, and then went over to
Nicole's to feed Kato-dog? The person who feeds a dog is the primary care
taker for any kind of dog...not just an Akita. Who fed Kato-dog
anyway...Nicole or Brian Kaelin?

Still one brick short of a load, aren't you seigler?
