Q. What is the definition of a pathological liar, what causes it and is
there any cure?
A. There is, to my knowledge, no precise definition of the term
"pathological liar" in the psychiatric literature, since lying may occur
as one component of several psychiatric syndromes. Thus, it is also
difficult to speak of specific causes and cures. Lying, conning people,
theft and other forms of deceit may be seen in conduct disorder (CD), a
condition that has its onset in childhood or adolescence. In addition to
lying, children with CD often show inappropriate aggression to people and
animals; destruction of property; and serious violations of rules. While
the precise causes of CD are not known, several likely factors include
faulty child-rearing practices; socioeconomic deprivation; physical or
psychological abuse during early childhood; and perhaps biological
factors, such as deficiencies of certain brain chemicals (e.g.,serotonin,
a chemical believed to modulate aggression). Psychotherapy and medication
may be helpful in CD, but are probably not curative.
In later life, individuals with so-called personality disorders may also
show a persistent pattern of lying or deceit; e.g., sociopathic
("antisocial") personality disordered (SPD) individuals. As with CD,
there are no known causes or cures, but similar factors may be involved in
the development of SPD and CD.

It would probably be amusing to see what that last idiotic remark
was supposed to mean. (The others obviously mean that you're barely
intelligent enough to be embarrassed about being so fucking stupid,
and seriously pissed off about being reminded.)
It would be especially funny if you knew the extra little joke
regarding your amazingly dumb fall for that obvious spoof about the
towels...but then, no one who could be taken in by such a thing
